Today's gonna be the first game played at the Cardinal's new dome, it looks really cool.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A Landmark Comes To LifeMichael Seidenazcardinals.comFriday morning the Arizona Cardinals Football Club hosted principle individuals responsible for the design of Cardinals Stadium. Several individuals were in attendance and expressed their gratitude to the Bidwill family for the success of Cardinals Stadium.“I think this stadium is a remarkable example of excellence in civic architecture,” stated John Meunier who served as the Dean of the Architecture School at Arizona State University until 2002. “Here is a work of architecture that is an adequate symbol of the ambitions of this community to achieve eminence, among the great cities in the 21st century.”Vice President and General Counsel Michael Bidwill gave opening remarks thanking everyone involved with the project for their hard work, dedication as well as expressing how much this means to the Cardinals organization.“Today is a very exciting day for us; in fact it is the eve of an even more exciting day,” said Bidwill who joined the team in 1996. “In our history going back to 1898, this will be our first permanent home for the Cardinals. It is a place we are going to call home as well as have a home field advantage.”After a compelling speech in which Michael Bidwill revealed that Cardinals Stadium had already been named a “Top Ten Stadium in the World,” by Business Week, Design Architect Peter Eisenman (Eisenman Architects), Environmental Graphic Designer Michael Gericke (Pentagram), Landscape Architect Michael Dollin (Urban Earth Design), Design Builder Bob Aylesworth (Hunt Construction Group), Facility Architect Dennis Wellner (HOK Sport), and Finally Michael Rushman who used to practice law with V.P. and General Counsel Michael Bidwill took the podium expressing their appreciation of the partnership between their companies and the Bidwill family.“The Bidwills understood and accepted the responsibilities and costs of high design,” stated Rushman. "They knew that their commitment with extra costs and high design could cost them millions and millions of dollars, but they spent the money.”World Class architect Peter Eisenman tipped his hat to the Bidwills, as he feels that Cardinals Stadium not only serves as a landmark to football fans but to the whole state of Arizona.“To have a landmark you need a public body and a civic individual, someone that will stick their neck out and say I will pay something beyond what I need in order to give something back to the community,” stated Eisenman as he expressed his thoughts on what the Bidwill’s have done for the community. “The Bidwills supported a design that is a dream that can be shared by all in the west Valley, Phoenix, and the state of Arizona.”One of the key ingredients to building Cardinals Stadium was the help from Hunt Construction Group who is known for their work in numerous NFL stadiums.“Good projects have good owners and I would say this project is no exception,” expressed Bob Aylesworth, Executive Vice President of Hunt Construction Group.” A special thank you to Michael Bidwill, Mr. Bidwill, and the Cardinals organization. Good projects also have good designers and this has been a first-class group to work with. From Hunt’s perspective this is our 12th NFL building and this is clearly our best effort.”Tomorrow Cardinals Stadium is expecting nearly 64,000 fans that will get to see and appreciate the Cardinals civic commitment.“As a citizen of Arizona I want to thank the Cardinals for this civic commitment which we don’t see often in our projects,” explained landscape architect Michael Dollin. “The energy of the facility radiates beyond the buildings and the edges of the site. As you arrive on site you can see that the facility contains over 35 acres of open space that includes an eight acre plaza, one of the largest in Arizona. There are 16 acres of multi turf area and thousands of trees and shrubs, state of the art lighting, sights and signage, which is all a part of the Cardinals commitment to the highest quality of fan experience.”A lot of strenuous work and long hours went into building Cardinals Stadium, but finally the Big Red have their own “nest” and it is time for the Cardinals to make some noise.“We are really excited to be hosting the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers,” shared Bidwill on Saturday’s inaugural game. “It is going to be a wonderful game and hopefully we will end up with a victory by the end of tomorrow afternoon.”Kickoff against the Steelers is set for 1:05 P.M. at Cardinals Stadium.</div>http://www.azcardinals.com/news/detail.php?PRKey=1067<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NFL.com)</div><div class='quotemain'>[IMG]</div>

Can't wait until the game starts. Ben is playing so they want him to take a hit to see how he sells it. Hopefully Cowher can give the rookies a lot of playing time today. Im so excited to see Omar Jacobs play, he's a great athelete. BTW, Ward has the day off because of hamstring i think. Should be exciting game, atleast i can watch some Steelers football on my bday!

This game was badly played by the steelers defense... even though it was preseason the Cardinals made it look like the Steelers werent defending champs.
