    My guy,
    Josh Shapiro
A well-beloved figure in a crucial battleground state that backed Trump this year, Shapiro could also represent a strong candidate for the 2028 presidential election. The 51-year-old Pennsylvania governor was reportedly being considered by Harris as her running mate for the presidential ticket, but it was said that he was too ambitious and too heavy of a political figure to be chosen by the vice president.

As a moderate who's been prizing social justice and defending democracy, Shapiro could appeal to both Democrats and disenfranchised Republicans concerned about Trump's election denialism.

You need to check out JB Pritzker, the governor of Illinois. Seems like he has done a lot of good for Illinois.

Bonus: He looks like Norn from Cheers.

Curious why people mentioned Governor's Pritzker and Shapiro for president but "demoted" Governor Whitmer to VP. Is it the obvious?

Can you imagine the mental gymnastics people would go through if that was the case?

The "Juice will not replace us" crowd would be insane, and the "save Palestine" people would be insane.

And it would be soooooo good to have a big F you to all the conspiracy nuts out there, and get rid of apartheid kkklyde and fix all the stupid shit that dementia donny did.

Between Trump and AI I think people will be feeling the pain.

Whoever sells the best plan for people to feel good about how they're going to feed their families will win. Whether it's an honest plan or a bunch of BS.

Whoever sells it best will win.

I wouldn't oppose her being president versus a guy. I just want someone that can connect, impress the middle and Indies and win. Her state has supported trump 2 of the last three times. Seems like she's wanting to work with trump if possible, thats a sign she wants to work across isle which is smart on her behalf.

The only criterion for the next Dem presidential candidate should be, “can they win”. Worrying about whose turn it is, what gender they are, what ceiling we want to break, and so on has lead to the current state of affairs of the Dems just being out of touch and losing. Obama didn’t win because he was Black; he won because he was exciting and could clearly articulate his agenda.

Agree. Definitely not the time to worry about anything but winning. Who can win? Thats all that matters. Next would be are they under 75 years old? Are they firm Dem or one of those teetering pieces of shit who can be swayed? I would vote Pete G, but not sure he can win because too many Americans are pathetic and wont vote a gay person into office. Need disenfranchised Republicans to vote Dem, and not sure enough are ready to vote Pete G. Awful as it is. Just win.

This is why Kamala Harris really lost
TikTok is making young voters more Republican?

Democrats have spent months debating how and why they lost the 2024 election. But the full picture of what happened on Election Day is only now coming into view.

The most authoritative election analyses draw on a variety of different data sources, including large sample polling, precinct-level returns, and voter file data that shows definitively who did and did not vote. And those last figures became available only recently.

The Democratic firm Blue Rose Research recently synthesized such data into a unified account of Kamala Harris’s defeat. (Blue Rose Research did ad testing for Future Forward, the largest PAC supporting Harris, which had disputes on strategy with the campaign itself.) Its analysis will command a lot of attention. Few pollsters boast a larger data set than Blue Rose — the company conducted 26 million voter interviews in 2024. And the firm’s leader, David Shor, might be the most influential data scientist in the Democratic Party.
