lol full rebuild. The rangers dont know how to do a proper rebuild. They’re never done it in their history. What makes you think this time will be different? Dolan wont allow it since he needs playoffs revenue. They always do everything half ass. They never develop any great prospect pipeline or if they have some decent prospects they’ll never fully commit to them. They always hire retreats who will live and die with their overpaid vets. Fat face Lavi is the latest example

At least Rempe is working his ass off, trying to get better, which is a lot more I can say for the overpaid douchebags on this team. Pray for a miracle with lottery luck. Lava is history. I think Dolan dumps Drury also. I don’t want Martin our assistant GM to get the job. I would prefer the assistant GM from Toronto. Kreider needs to get the boot. He turned into a self entitled schmuck this season. Fox for the right price might be a potential move as well. K. Miller absolutely needs to go. That guy is a fucking idiot. And he should have some good value. I like to get rid of Zibanejad but I don’t know if they can. I give Lafreniere one more year.

I've thought Laf was a lazy piece of shit since day one when he showed up out of shape then pouted after Quinn called him out and has continued his tradition of showing up for the start of the season sucking wind with his stick glued to his knees after 12 minutes of ice time. Now this lazy bastard keeps his helmet on during the anthem when he's 20 points off last year's contract winning totals. Start the rebuild by sending this bum to Canada.

Montreal has some very interesting near NHL prospects. I could see them definitely wanting to bring Lafreniere there. However I don’t believe Drury knows how to get a good return after what I’ve seen.

I think we are going a bit too far now, and this is coming from someone who has been extremely critical of them since this past summer and was very confident that unfortunately this would be a bad season.

What the Rangers need is a GM who is not afraid to make big moves with important core guys. I disagree with most, I believe these core guys with clauses can be traded, again IF you have the right guy making the changes. I have just about zero doubt in my mind the right guy can get this team back in a good spot next season and make the necessary moves. Unfortunately, I also have just about zero doubt in my mind that Drury is not the guy who can do it. I truly hope I am wrong, and Drury shows me something I don't think we've seen from him thus far.

If Drury handles this the right way, I think Kreider can be moved, I think K. Miller or Fox can be moved, I also think if Drury wanted to, he could get Panarin to move with only one season left, and the Rangers can reshape the core with the players we need to be back near the top next season (I think the most unmovable guy is Zibanejad - we may just have to bite the bullet on him and hope he rededicates himself this summer). But as I have been saying, it will take boldness, creativity, and some risk taking, along with a ruthlessness, to get it done, I am not sure Drury has those qualities.

It may take being open to dealing Lafreniere and/or Schneider, everything should be on the table for the right move(s). This has to be a summer of boldness and an F you to the fat cat, overpaid, half a** core.

I think Rempe is fine on the 4th line. I actually like the Rangers 4th line mix with Rempe/Edstrom/Brod/Carrick/Berard. I said a few weeks ago, the Rangers biggest glaring need is a legit correct 3rd line, and it has been that way for a long time. And when I say a legit correct 3rd line, I don't mean skill like Lafreniere/Chytil/Kakko, I mean a 3rd line that can score some, hit hard, has some size, and can play the role you'd expect from a 3rd line. That to me is the Rangers biggest failing upfront for a while, and it needs to finally be fixed this summer.

As for Trouba, I think we agree if you are saying he should have been traded, but the way it was handled was terrible and destroyed the locker room. Sorry, but the Trouba situation was handled atrociously by Drury. Even if you say it wasn't his fault it got out there, or that Trouba blocked an initial trade, the fact that he kept Trouba after all that noise was a disaster for the team. And once again, BEFORE you get to the 1/2-yard line you have to know FOR SURE Trouba will accept the trade. Drury handled that situation like amateur hour.

The Trouba situation is not the only reason why the season devolved into a mess, that fate was sealed in July, but the Trouba mishandling absolutely had a negative impact on the team.

I think outside of Perreault, anything is on the table this summer.

Drury is light years better at drafting than that halfwit Gorton, 4 #1 misses, Chytil showed promise but was not a #1 and Laf is a bust. 6 #1s squandered and that's Drury's fault? Chuck's going to need 2 arm slings from the season long self back patting "predicting" the Rangers demise. To Al's point the Rangers went to the ECF twice in the last 3 years because of the moves Drury made. Resigning Mika was a tough choice but there were few FAs to choose from. I didn't want Mika back after he did nothing while Panarin got pummeled by Wilson but until this year he's produced and he's stayed healthy (316 games 109G/184A) but he and the rest of the NTC crowd are all having down years,. Trocheck was a great signing and I think Drury stole JT. Drury's biggest shortcoming is player relations, he's awful at it and made moves that hurt team chemistry but professionals should be able to overcome this. Hit that Drury pinata all you want but Gorton was the worst thing to happen to this franchise, Glen Sather ran circles around Gorton half interested from his fishing boat.

I've actually been pretty spot on about the Rangers for a long time. Unlike most I am objective, I understand that being a fan doesn't mean I always say my team is the best and will win every game/series. I am real and call it like I see it.

Last season I said the Rangers were a good team and would beat the Caps, Canes, and Panthers (which I was wrong about). So, if you are trying to insinuate, I am negative and always pick against the Rangers, you have the wrong guy. When I think the Rangers are good, I say it and offer my thoughts accordingly. When I think the Rangers will struggle, I am not afraid to state it. I am also not afraid to make predictions and offer my thoughts, I put myself out there, which is why I get knocked in here as much as I do, which I am perfectly fine with. This was never going to be a good season; that's just the way it is/was. But I am also confident about next season, with the right bold core changing moves made this summer.

People can disagree on the job Drury has done, that's okay. I have never said every move he's made has been bad. I agree, the Trocheck signing was very good, there is/was no bigger fan of the Miller trade than me. Again, I am objective, unlike most, and can say yes Drury has made some good moves. But he has made many more down moves than good moves IMO, and most importantly it's what he didn't do that crushed the team in the playoffs last season, and this season. His lack of a big move at the trade DL last season, was a disgrace. Keeping the old stale core together last summer, was even a bigger disgrace. That's just the way I see it. You think he's been a good Pres/GM, I don't, we can disagree on that, all good.

What I think we can agree on is if he's still running the show, and I expect he will be, we are rooting hard for him to do some great work this summer, we are aligned on that I believe. I also think we may be aligned on the thought there must be some core changing moves made this summer. I wish and root for great success for Drury going forward. From there we'll see how it goes.

What's funny is, no team wants the last playoff spot. Montreal has lost 4 straight, the Isles have lost 3 straight, and taking a look at each of their next few games, they might continue to lose. Playing the Ducks and Sharks the next two games, the Rangers could actually find themselves back in playoff position if they get 4 points.

Watch CBJ sitting there quietly, they may be the team that ends up with the 8th spot when the dust settles.

The teams needs a revamp. I love Kreider but he went from a tough, hard nosed, hard hitting, goal scoring forward, to a guy that just camps out in front of the net and is one dimensional. Z is soft. Panarin is very soft. The defense does not have a big shot physical defenseman. The role players suck. The stars suck. Their window has closed. There’s no leader. Trouba was at least a voice that could back up his play although he was declining too. You look at free agents like Guentzel on pace for 40 goals, it’s too bad Drury fucked shit up during the summer. Look at TB. Looks at the players they’ve acquired. Now they’re back on top. lol even McDonaugh went back there and is having a really good season. Only this team vets come here and pack it in

Agree Strud. Thus, why I want Torts back. I know he is not great coaching offense. That being said, you have the best goalie in the world that leads the league facing high danger chances. Fucking disgrace. These vets are pussies. Some are lazy. Some come in out of shape. They think they are entitled to PP time. The team is defensively retarded. Morons like Miller fuck up time after time and are never held accountable. Young players never get first PP time and their development blows. Torts has his faults but he is what this team needs. If you hire him, I would bring back Lindgren. Trade Miller who is a dipshit. Notice, Lindgren is playing great hockey now and Colorado has become better defensively.

no one on this team should be untouchable. I think Brady would completely change the direction of this franchise.
