That was a pathetic and embarrassing display. Watch the replay of the OT goal, and it's truly disgusting. It's almost impossible 3-on-3, but Panarin and Trocheck are covering NO ONE as BOTH their guys are wide open behind them in front of the net. You really cannot make it up, and it's difficult to do it unless you are trying to. So many players have to go this summer. I think I speak for many in here, I rather see some of these lazy fat cat vets go, even if the deals are just whatever and the Rangers suck next season, that's how done I am with these guys. It should have happened last summer, but it absolutely needs to happen this summer. It's why I keep saying Drury needs to be bold and take risks, because if he continues to be afraid to make moves that could have some risk to them or ruffle the feathers of the lazy fat cat vets or bury his head in the sand and think this core is A okay, nothing will be done. If the Rangers don't move multiple players from this core, we should all protest next season.
As for the coach, he has obviously done a terrible job, but please enough with acting as if he's the reason for this mess. Just like when Drury fired Gallant after the embarrassment of the NJ series, we are back in the same spot with a new coach. What are the constants, not the coach, the Pres/GM and the players. That is where the focus NEEDS to be this summer. Getting a new Pres/GM (won't happen unfortunately) and breaking up the stale done core by trading away some of these lazy fat cat vets. Fire Lav, I am 10000000000000000% fine with that after this mess, but unless Drury goes (again won't happen), and the core is drastically changed (NEEDS to happen for sure) IT WON'T MATTER!!!
Maybe bringing in torts in some advisory role into organization is not a bad thing. He will make all of these vets lives miserable and ask for trades.
