He also said Joker is not top 20 all time.

He is a 5 time MVP (who will likely be credited for 3 only) and could add more

If you replace the best player of any championship team with Joker, they'd win the championship too. Nuggets simply below average team who are overachieving because of him.

Put 2025 Joker in place of old Sabas and the Blazers wins the championship in 2000 instead of the Lakers.

Without question. Not because Sabonis wasn’t good but because Joker is better and is physically in better condition.

Not saying you're wrong but Jokic hasn't played anyone close to prime Shaq.

We almost beat them so I think it's possible and woud've also destroyed the Pacers in the Finals if old Arvydas was Jokic instead. Cowherd said Jokic is like young Sabonis Sr and Walton, Bill (two of the best Centers in Blazers history) combined. I'm not that old to know if it's facts or not. As good as Shaq and Kobe was,

    Stoudamire
    Smith
    Pippen
    Wallace
    Jokic

Sheed would guard Shaq as Joker would foul out by halftime

Shaq in today's NBA would easily average 40 points.

You'd have to build around his defensive liability at the 3 point line, but could you imagine anyone stopping him in the paint??

    Dude would be unstoppable.

Not saying you are wrong either but Jokic plays outside a bunch more than Shaq so I’m guessing they would take advantage of that? Game is different now for sure. I would love to see how that matchup went.

I'm old enough to have seen both young Sabonis Sr. and 77 Walton. As good as Jokic is, he's not in the realm of either of them. Defensively, they were on another level. Sabonis was like a 7-2 Larry Bird. Walton was the most fundamentally-sound pivot I've ever seen ... if you saw Tim Duncan, think of that but bigger and even a bit better.

I've only seen clips. But I think you're right. Young Sabas Sr was incredible. He had all the touch and craftiness that Joker has. He'd easily have the range. And he was a far superior defender.

I really think pre-injury Sabonis was better.

    Walton as well.

Wow his career highlights mostly happened pre NBA. Why didn't he play for the Blazers in his youth?

The Blazers tried. They even flew over there when he was playing a game (met secretly in tge basement of the arena) and offered to smuggle him out of the country. He was afraid that they would target his family, so he turned them down.

Tickets for the Blazers last game of the season at home vs the Lakers is $148 for a level 300 seat. Damn.
