I'm making beans and cornbread tonight. Got me a 2lb ham shank, a pound of pinto beans, and all the spices. Ain't fancy but it'll smell *amazing* What are y'all making/eating? Show us your skills!
This was one of my mom's specialties. She got the recipe from her grandmother (not that it didn't come out of a newspaper or whatever in 1930)
Not much tonight. Salad from garden. Doing Passover baking Friday. Apple cake, flourless chocolate cake, raspberry sauce, batch of matzoh meal pancakes.
those are delicious but I've had to resist buying instant noodles. Saturated Fat content that high isn't good when you are becoming an old fart.
Mini potatoes that we put seasoning on and bake in the oven. Salad pack from the store. Chicken tenderloin with seasoning.
My wife is in Taiwan for 3 weeks so I've been cooking for one. Today I meal prepped bell pepper, carrots, garlic, broccoli with white rice, peanut sauce, onions and shitake mushrooms with popcorn chicken. I'll get 4 meals out of it for myself. In the morning I'll make my smoothies for the week with blueberries, yogurt, apples, bananas and some greens from the garden. I didn't take photos today of my food.
I've been making biscuits and gravy with this sausage lately and it's been reallllllly good. Just the right spice levels.
Apple cake, chocolate cake, matzoh meal pancakes. Can't get files to upload. Will try on desktop later.
