Panarin is the only vet on this team that gives a fuck.

No, I keep him to develop the young players. If you get a coach who actually can do that. JT and Panarin and Trocheck if you get them away from Kreider and Zibanedouche will be OK with a different coach.

This will be a tremendous loss. We have a chance to get in the top eight in this draft actually.

Good that drury signed quick for another season because why not. Let's cater to another vet. God forbid they will develop another younger goalie who won't demand stupid contracts like Igor.

Does anyone hold Drury accountable. Drury is the one who fired Gallant after two seasons. Drury is the one who made a mess of the Trouba situation. Drury is the one who made the team CLEARLY worse over the summer. Drury is the one who decided the old stale core should stay together, despite MANY (including me, Brooks, and others) saying the team needed major changes. Now Drury will get to fire ANOTHER coach after two seasons, and still, he has no accountability. It was Gallant's fault...Drury hired and fired him. Same core and GM, now it's Lav's fault, Drury will hire and fire him.

As I have said, go ahead and fire Lav after this mess of a season, he deserves it, but NO ONE deserves to get fired more than Drury. All I see on this board, outside of a random comment here and there, is blame the coach, fire the coach. Number one on the list should be Drury, and it isn't even close. Then go ahead and fire Lav also. But as mel wrote, if you keep Drury nothing will change. He'll hire Gallant/Lav/a 3rd coach, and the results will be the same, because Drury is in over his head and has been since day one as I said on day one.

Another masterful lesson in time management by Lav the Apathetic. Quick picks tonight to have his worst game as a Ranger, I agree resigning him made no sense. Good news though, the Rangers celebrate their 100th anniversary next year so they can bring Sam and JD back for an honorary game or 2. The Rangers should trade their #1, they are clueless as an organization at evaluating talent regardless of the GM and waste most top picks on small, ineffective players. I would keep Panarin too unless another team made a ridiculous offer. The defensive unit aside from Schneider is garbage starting with Adam the pinata Fox getting thrown aside yet again on the first empty netter.

I agree they should trade their 1st round pick, unless they move into the top 5 or 6. With their 1st round pick going to the Pens next season, the Rangers need to be in it to win it with core changing bold aggressive moves this summer. And Schneider absolutely 10000% needs to be in the top 4 next season. That means Fox or K. Miller absolutely 10000% need to be traded this summer, along with at least Kreider to breakup/reshape the core.

I go by results and of course Drury has made mistakes but 2 ECF's in 4 years is rarified air for any Rangers GM. I also like Drury since he was the first Rangers GM to emphasize adding grit and the results have been positive but ultimately the team is still too soft at the top of the roster. The JT trade was the steal of the deadline and he's averaged a point per game as a Ranger. This year's debacle is on Lav and the players that quit on him who are locked into the Rangers retirement program.

I hear you. The debacle two years ago was on Drury and the players that quit on Gallant. This time, despite the same Pres/GM and essentially the same players that quit, it's on the coach not the same Pres/GM and essentially the same players.

I'm tracking with you...same Pres/GM and fat cat lazy players have F'd up/quit twice in 3 seasons on two different coaches, but it's this coach's fault and wasn't the last coach's fault - I know you were very unhappy when he got fired, and I get that.

Big picture, 2 out of past 3 seasons this Pres/GM/core/team have embarrassed themselves to end the season. That's the unfortunate reality. The only real major change over that 3-year stretch was the head coach, but it's his fault, I guess.

I 10000000000000000000% respect you Panzer, and you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but man it is totally inconsistent.

I see way more fire Lav's than I do fire Drury's, and it isn't close. It should be the other way around IMO. The constant over the past 3 seasons, or the one real difference that was made over the past 3 seasons. Seems like an easy decision of where more of the responsibility should be.

Yeah I have as much faith in Dolan to hire competent people to run this organization as much as I have in Trump running this country.

I hear you on Dolan, he's a terrible owner, we certainly agree there. His record speaks for itself.

JD said during the game that the rangers have had great goaltending for over 40 years. They need to stop building around the fucking goalies and start building the team around forwards/defense. Giving Igor that contract was stupid.
