    25-26

    Scoot yr 3
    Sharpe yr 4
    Avdija yr 6
    Camara yr 3
    Clingan yr 2

Let's dream that we get into the top 4 in this upcoming draft

    Who do we pick?

What can we turn the vets Ant Grant Ayton Williams into??

You must be new to the NBA. You sound like a coach in a Disney movie. “Never a player worth tanking on”? Let me know if this is serious and I’ll send you a couple links to successful tank jobs and how the teams not only weren’t punished, but rewarded with championships. I’ll be on standby,

I think they're stuck with Grant, his contract sucks. Unless someone wants to trade something great for one of the others, I'd be for turning Ant Ayton Williams and Thybulle into capspace especially if there is a FA worth targeting

All we need is no more wins from our guys and the Suns to beat the Spurs and we'll be in that 9th spot. Wish it were better but we still need those last two losses and the one win from the Suns.

9th is such a terrible spot for a team like us that needs a damn good pick. This is what I hated all season when we weren’t tanking

I agree but ninth by itself has about a 1 in 5 chance of moving up... if we're tied with other teams or even further behind we lose odds that we can move up and get a better chance at the impact player we both know this roster still needs.

I personally don’t want a player who takes shots from Shaedon and pushes Deni and Tou into the background. We have the pieces. We just need to let them grow together. We made a huge leap this season.

So what, would you rather have someone like Khaman Maluach to pair with Clingan at the center position? Or a guy like Kasparas Jacucionis to slot in as a combo-guard off the bench behind Scoot/Shae?

    lol

yeah, can't have the Blazers get a player like Tatum, or Giannis, or SGA, or Jokic, or Doncic because that might relegate Deni and Sharpe into #2 options

and, I'm wondering if the "huge leap this season" you're seeing has a significant portion of mirage, if last season is used as the main gauge, that is. How many games would last year's team had won if they had tried to win every game until the 77th game of the season? 28? 30? 32?

Saw a proposal on Reddit where someone was suggesting Scoot+picks/filler for Morant (if Grizz felt like he needed a change of scenery). I was shocked at how many people were so adamantly against the idea.

for me it would depend on the picks and the filler

but Morant is one player I'd be really iffy about because of his seeming refusal to learn lessons. And I'm not sure if he makes teammates better enough to put up with his off-court issues

Can't say I was too thrilled last year when we were tied for the 3rd worst record, only to fall to 7th while the 10th worst team jumped to #1.

Best case scenario but it would give me some real anxiety is if the Spurs beat the Suns and the Raptors and the Suns lose to the Spurs but somehow get the win against the Kings. We lose to both the Warriors and Lakers.

That would put us tied for the 8th slot in the lotto with the Spurs.

I will be okay if the Suns beat the Spurs and we lose our last two games to get 9th but a share of the 8th slot would be better.

That'll happen sometimes. That's why you have to give yourself the best chance possible for consecutive years. Get as much talent stockpiled before they improve enough to make the playoffs.

You missed the point. I’m talking about ethics and good sportsmanship and right and wrong. You’re talking about winning a championship at all costs, regardless of whatever unethical behavior it takes.

Im think it has nothing to do with his on court play?
I wouldn't do it either. We tried the Jail blazers way and it failed. No need to go back to thugville.
i want to be able to respect the team if/when they win.

Yeah that's just risky because he would be the undoubted leader on this team and he has shown he ain't that.

I think we'd all be happy not to ever have to go through a tanking season again.
