I love Thybulle's game and presence on the team..the dude is special. Hope he wins a chip here. I love what Chauncey said about using Toumani and Matisse together against teams with two allstars...pick your poison defense...being an elite defensive squad is not too far off for this team. I also love having two double double centers on the roster.

If that was a motivated Ayton that we saw this season then... yikes. Don't even want to imagine what an unmotivated version of him would look like here.

Three-bul has a player option for $11.5 million for next season. What will he do?

Jerami is gone! Need to talk to my agent and Joe and do whatever makes sense.

Ant sounded in the in game interview like he was on his way out.

Deandre sounds like he's here to stay but if he has negative trade value right now that would make sense for Joe and Chauncey to be selling on him being bought into whatever role they have for him.

Tissee is always pure class. I think he'd be great on the team next season but I also have a feeling that him showing what he can do at the end of this season might have some teams calling about him so we'll see. Would love to have him back and would be upset if we sold low on him.

Other than those guys I can just say I'm really excited to see Tou, Shae, Deni, Scoot and Clingan keep playing for our team. I love the way they talk about Chauncey and Chauncey talks about them. It better be a fucking haul if any of those guys are moved because I don't know if they're our contending starting lineup of the future but they could be and they definitely make sense as big minute getters in a contending roster in our team's future.

Yeah if I am Thybulle I am not opting in. He is better off signing a new contract even if it is for the same amount...but 4 years.
I think someone will offer him the full MLE

Grant's agent better have something up his sleeve if he wants to find another team. Maybe he does

Thanks for posting the link to those interviews.

Something important to consider in regards to Matisse is if he opts in he's automatically got Bird rights even if we traded him and if he doesn't opt in he doesn't have that. It is much easier to give a guy his fair market value or higher when they have Bird rights. If I was Tisse and I was confident about what I could do, I'd bet on myself and opt in.

I'm hoping between Joe and Jerami's agent we can get him out of here for neutral value, anything of positive value coming back in a trade sending Jerami out would be a huge win for Joe.

wut? are you sure about that?

Blazers traded Hart for Thybulle; and it was an exchange of full Bird rights for each player. After the trade, the Blazers owned full bird rights for Thybulle. I don't think the offer sheet from Dallas changes that. Now, as I understand it, Dallas would not have full bird rights this off-season, only early bird rights. But I don't believe that's true for Portland. I might be wrong though

You bring up a good point, there are some articles that say he would be giving up his bird rights if he opts out but they aren't from good enough sources to be sure they're right. If he opts in he would have bird rights even if traded to a new team. I guess it depends on what Joe would re-sign him for or the offers he has around the league but I do think he would be betting on himself if he opted in because I don't think he's going to get that much money next season if he opts out.

I wonder if there is any chance for a buyout of Grant?

I'd be fully on board with him winning a championship as a Blazer regardless of whether he was a starter or on IR, that doesn't really have much to do with him though...

throw in Deni who many considered to be borderline all defensive team last year

Oof Grant was rough. Think it's obvious he's gone. But doubt there is any market for his contract. I just hope we don't attach assets to move him.

If you plan on contending for a playoff spot, guys like Thybulle are gold. Unless he wants out, we need to keep him
Are you kidding me h'se a Huskie no way Bert lets him leave especially for what he makes. Not the talent past Dawg BROY was but muck better team guy for the youngsters.

scoot going into extra detail about what he'll work on was awesome to hear.

and the stuff he talked about is exactly what i thought he needed to do.

He put down an entire instruction manual on what he needed to do this summer. Great to hear. He's a workhorse who is only going to get better.
