It's just completely unrealistic to think that we're going to bring manufacturing back to the US.

Not if it's manufacturing by robotics but actual humans doing much is questionable.

Robots aren't going to be as good as North Korean, Chinese (exported American prisoners?) slave labor. For a long time.

It'll probably be a while before they are even as cheap as slave labor

*Edit* At least, certainly not during Trump's presidency...

AI and robots. Yup. Eventually robots will be advanced enough to completely replace any manual labor. Robots don’t need breaks. They can work 24/7. They will lost likely be much more precise with a higher consistency of replication of products.

I really don’t know what’s going to happen to us regular folk. I don’t see corporations wanting to share any profits with people. Universal income will be so low that we will basically be the same as Soviet Russia. It’s a depressing future.

Trump Warns Phones, Computers Will Face New Tariffs

President Donald Trump said tariffs will still target phones, computers, and other electronics, despite a temporary exemption announced over the weekend. Confusion followed conflicting messages from Trump and his top advisers, as the administration now signals that levies on major tech products are still in the works. The move comes as the U.S.-China trade war escalates and tensions rise over new tariff rounds.

Trump is the misbehaving child who throws things in class to get attention. He used to just have tabloids. Now billions of people hear his every belch. With a tweet he can crash world economy, destroy thousands of people's lives, turn a business into a parish. Heady stuff for malignant megalomaniac.

Trump Moves to Put New Tariffs on Computer Chips and Drugs
Citing a national security statute, the administration has begun a process to investigate the impact of imported semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.

The Trump administration took steps on Monday that appear likely to result in new tariffs on semiconductors and pharmaceutical products, adding to the levies President Trump has put on imports globally.

Federal notices put online Monday afternoon said the administration had initiated national security investigations into imports of chips and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Trump has suggested that those investigations could result in tariffs.

The investigations will also cover the machinery used to make semiconductors, products that contain chips and pharmaceutical ingredients.

In a statement confirming the move, Kush Desai, a White House spokesman, said the president “has long been clear about the importance of reshoring manufacturing that is critical to our country’s national and economic security.”

Some drugs are produced at least in part in the United States, though China, Ireland and India are significant sources of some types of pharmaceuticals.

Ego? Grudges? Bully? These are news? They are what Trump ran on. Running government into the ground? He did that with all his businesses. Why is this person surprised?

And I humbly say that the dems were stupid for not following Obamas lead for a mini convention. We put that asshole in office for the second time because we had the wrong candidate. If you dont know where you are going You Will end up somewhere else. The democratic party committee needs better leadership. Or we will lose again in 28.
    Lets take personal inventory....
