Only took me 17 tries to get into top 4. On the 17th we got #1. Seems like others are having better luck than me. The lotto is on my birthday, so here’s hoping for some luck.

Yep. Would need to be an impartial auditor of some kind.

I don't know if this is a bit or if this is a serious conversation.

Anyway, they have Ernst & Young handle the lottery every season, it is recorded on video, every team in the lotto has a representative in the room where the lottery is done. It's extremely transparent but not broadcast live because the NBA likes to make a production of the big reveal of what lottery picks are going to what teams.

    I really like Noa Essengue.

He reminds me a bit of Kirilenko. We need to shore up some shooting in the trade/free agent market.

Essengue is just so long and disruptive which is so important in todays game

Are you saying that picking 9 or 10 isn’t going to be good?

    Wasn't Deni a 9th pick?

    What coin flip?

EDIT: NM, I thought they just combined the balls for the ninth and 10th spots and divided them among the two teams. I see now that if there's an odd number they have to do a coin flip for the extra ball.

It's just a draw for who gets the higher pick if neither team moves up, is my understanding and that we have equal lotto odds regardless of the draw.

    Split the 9/10 balls.
Flip for who gets 9 if neither moves up AND for who gets an extra ball if there is one.
    Happens at the lottery.

So if the Rockets get the extra ball and ends up getting lucked into the top pick, leaving us at 10th we can say that winning the last game caused us Cooper Flagg

Wow, I didn't think they had that "remainder" situation that would provide better odds for one of two teams that finish with the same record but they obviously do. They already held that drawing and the Rockets do have the slightly better odds according to this article.

    https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...-three-teams-have-best-odds-for-cooper-flagg/

I've stated earlier that I won't continue to bemoan the fact that we didn't tank this season, so I won't but WOW, just wow.

I’m going by tiers - if we land a pick in the 17-20
    range, this is the pick:
