I was just saying Giannis and Shai are gunna be the next best duo for the rest of the decade

Sharpe has a much higher ceiling. Daniels is a role player. Kinda like Toumani.

I recall some posters really liking Daniels predraft (Sochan too), but Shaedon was an outlier/mystery man with just HS highlights and reports. While I liked the eye candy of his highlight dunks and the form on Sharpe's J, it wasn't enough to have a real opinion on his game. There was much better tape on DD coming from the G league

I’m not so sure Dame will be some sort of sniper in his old age. Remember how badly he shot the ball at the start of the 2021-22 season with the ab injury?

The scary part is that he would not need to be part of a duo. He could be their 4th option on offense behind Shai, Williams, and Chet. (in the half court offense anyways)

In this scenario do OKC give up Chet Holmgren alongside their mountain of picks? Because I honestly don't see OKC doing that. That's not a Presti move.

The thing about Giannis is that he doesn't seem to work well with others. You'd think him and Dame would have been the perfect inside/outside combo but they both played better without the other.

You are probably right, but Giannis, as great as he is, is still a bit one-dimensional on offense. Other than his salary, he would be ideal as a 3rd or 4th option. Again, he can do so many other things.

But you never know if OKC wins it all this year, then there is no reason for them to make a change.
However, if I were them, I would roll the dice with some of those draft picks. Giannis is a great example of why you try to acculturate multiple picks. You certainly can't add them all to your team.

Presti is an enigma. He's stockpiled all these picks while at the same time building a juggernaut slowly and cautiously. He'll certainly do trades - the Caruso trade, for example, and further back he traded for a star in Paul George, but I think he's super-careful about chemistry and wouldn't bring in someone like Giannis. I could be wrong, but I think it's much more likely he'd bring in a guy who can enhance what he already has instead of push it aside.

If he could persuade a team to part with Cooper Flagg, I think he'd offer a pretty massive bundle of picks.

seems about the only thing OKC is missing is that big wing/PF that can slide to C in small ball lineups.

Giannis could be that, but both he and SGA need open paint to operate; they both want to get to the hoop and would crowd each other and step on each other's toes. I'd think it would be an awkward duo

I don't know who would fit that role and who is available. But you're right that Presti would probably want a 'don't-rock-the-boat' player. Julius Randle is too high usage. Somebody like John Collins? Bobby Portis?

He can do better. If KD were 10 years younger...

    sure

but in the 'don't-rock-the-boat' category, matching a 55M/year salary rocks the boat pretty hard

maybe....but I was thinking a big wing. Chet spends at least 2/3 of his minutes playing C and he can't really defend SF's
