Suburu and Nissan are closing plants in the U.S. Moving to Japan. They weighed it out and the tariffs were too taxing on them.

    MAGA!

I'm sad I couldn't convince my ex to get solar on her roof last summer.

The combination of supply chain disruption and panic buying is a powerful thing.

I think it will be weird shit. Beyond the stuff made in China, there will be things that are "made in America" but use Chinese-manufactured packaging. Thank god the eating Tide Pods fad is over, the Tide is made in the USA but the pods come from China. Barfo will have to go back to drinking it straight from the jug. Oh wait, the jug might be made in China, too.

Lots of packaging, the cheapest part of an item is made in China. So the item might be available but there is nothing to package it in and ship it to stores.

    It's going to be interesting.

At least half dozen stories in today's San Francisco Chronicle about companies revising earnings estimate down, drastic drop in consumer confidence, loss of tourism revenue due to tariffs and well publicized abuse of foreign visitors with valid visas. So much winning!

Trump scolded Americans for spoiling children by buying them too much stuff. While he gold plates White House.
