<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Mike Nugent made the first pressure kick of the season, a 50-yarder at the end of practice. Because he made it, the team had its evening meetings canceled. That wasn't the original wager, though. On Wednesday, QB Kellen Clemens and C Norm Katnik were on the field in full pads for a half hour before practice working on their exchanges, which have been flubbed on a daily basis nearly all week. The rest of the team was supposed to practice in just helmets and shoulder pads, but when they saw Clemens and Katnik in full equipment, they decided they would go full, too. That touched Mangini, who offered to cancel the meetings if an offensive or defensive player could kick a field goal. When Clemens and S Kerry Rhodes missed, the team implored Mangini to give Nugent a shot. The second-year kicker put his first kick through the uprights.</div>
The part that impressed me the most was....<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The rest of the team was supposed to practice in just helmets and shoulder pads, but when they saw Clemens and Katnik in full equipment, they decided they would go full, too. Plus, it'a also very good sign to see your future QB out there before dressed and ready to go before anybody else on the team and the team following his example.

Barlow has an outside shot at getting a chance over Blaylock, but there is little doubt in my mind that Blaylock will be starting week one and Clement is starting over Adrian Jones right now. (Mainly because the guy just isnt a Right Tackle, which I said before Mangini was ever hired. :glare: )

He is a very solid run blocker in camp for us, his strength seems to be opening up the Running lane for the Runningbacks which he has done well for Blaylock so far. He isnt the best player against the pass rush which is why is much better suited to be a Right Tackle because when he is forced to pass-protect there, If they get by Clement it is happening in front of the Quarterback instead of behind them so they know to get rid of the ball quickly or step up in the pocket. You guys were the genius who had a guy who isnt very good at pass protecting guarding the Quarterback's blindside...coaching moves like that makes it no wonder why you won 4 games. As for Barlow, he's a backup until he earns otherwise.

Anyways he was LT only for a couple games (They saw how much he sucked and replaced him) cuz our startin LT went down so they thought he could be an upgrade over Estes... WRONG. No idea how this guy can be a starter for a team, goodluck to Pennington to not gettin killed.
Well, maybe it was just the 49ers weighing him down, cause he's looked ok in Green and White. :flipa:
