I don't get how you put the Skins at 13 when all 7 NFL experts agreed on them being #3 EDIT: Nevermind, you're a pathetic Giants guy too
Reg - I am a Jet fan. And putting the Redskins that low may be true, but all the teams above them have just as good a chance to have a better record then them. Also, those teams play in easier divisions.Jeefunk - How is it laughable? Vince Young is not near ready to start and if Volek starts, then well eh? Coming from a Titans fan, I really cant take that comment too seriously, sorry.

We arguably had the best offseason in the NFL in free agency, picking up 4 of the top 50 FAs: David Thornton, David Givens, Chris Hope, & Kevin Mawae. We also picked up VY & Lendale White in the draft. While Young won't be able to make any contributions to this year's team, Lendale White sure as hell will. While Volek may not have a lot of starts, he has this offense down pat, has been the clear cut leader of the offense in camp, and has looked very good so far in the preseason. If you'll recall, when he got the chance to be a regular starter, he put up crazy numbers, including a passer rating of over 100.Not to mention all our rookies & 2nd year players have another year under their belt, and considering they account for most of our starters, that says a lot.

This is just some guy's opinion... it's nothing official. A group of "qualified" football specialists didn't come up with it. Having the Redskins not in the top 10...? eh, guy doesn't know which end is up.

Most Jets fans hate the Giants and vice versa. jeefunk, 3rd worst is pretty accurate IMO. Sorry man. David Givens has yet to play 16 games in a season as there is always something wrong with him physically.Kevin Mawae is 35 and coming off serious surgury. If he will ever be the same player is definately questionable. David Thornton is terribly undersized weighing 225 on a good day and unless your Defensive Line gets drastically better overnight he is going to get manhandled by offensive lineman every run play.Chris Hope is solid, but not great either. Yes, im sure they are all an upgrade, but I wouldn't put the Titans in the top 5 of offseasons personally because of how much they overpaid for Questionable players. How much contributions can someone make while sitting on the bench as Chris Brown's backup? Sure, he will be nice in the 100 or so carries that he does get, but unless he wins the starting job neither of your draft picks are going to be making much of an impact this year. He was impressive in 2004 when Mike Heimerdinger was his coordinator. He then left and Norm Chow came in and Billy Volek struggled last season when McNair was out. I dont know about you, but that raises a red flag in my eyes when a new coordinator comes in and his completion percentage drops 5 points, his QB rating drops 10 points and his Yards Per Attempt is over a yard and a half shorter. Too much youth is normally a bad thing.Just look at the Detroit Lions the past few years. A ton of high draft picks, a ton of potential on both sides of the ball, but without someone experianced there to mentor them they will never reach that potential. That is why veteran depth to young starters is usually essential because it gives them somebody to learn from. Lets, put it this way. The only way the Titans arent picking in the top 5 next year is if they get Significant improvement from all of these young players that you are so high on like Michael Roos, Randy Starks, Travis LaBoy, PacMan Jones, ect,. That, and we see the Billy Volek of old....that is.

Bears, Cheifs, and Giants better then the Broncos?Last I checked the Broncos made the AFC title game and the others didn't make a conference title game.

You're welcome to your opinion. This is one thing I will respon to, though. There is a big difference between filling in at the last second due to injury, and knowing you are the starter. In 2004, he knew he was going to be the starter, and could prepare mentally & physically for it. He did not have that luxury once in 2005. He's looked absolutely spectacular in practice, and actually looked like he had some sense of pocket presence against the Saints in our first preseason game.I'd be interested in seeing you breakdown every team like that. I think then you'd see the Titans aren't so bad.
Come on, now. It's a proven fact that only the Titans 2nd year players are going to improve. It's also a proven fact that even though the Titans just picked up FAs to replace FAs they lost that the FAs they got will be playing like two people. So even though they had holes all over their roster those four replacement players are going raise the whole team to playoff level. :LMAO:

So the unknown of if he can play is not there like we know of Portis. And we are talking about a hamstring that's not even pulled but you're right...But it doesn't matter to me one way or the other if Dallas is 1 or 32. I don't have to pump Dallas up at all.I know Dallas has a good team that has a the same chance, if not better than every team that is ranked in the Top 10.
