You are correct. It felt different. And they still ended up down 1, Sacramento ball with more than 2 secs left so it’s worse than what I said.
that means if they are about to win it all in June 2027 you'll have to thelma&lousie in Hells Canyon...you know that, right?
I can understand fouling up 3 with less than 5 seconds. But I've never understood when there's more time than that. Winning team is creating a free throw game with a very real chance they miss first. It also makes the end of these games unwatchable. It started a few years ago in the regular season but now its happening in tons of playoff games. I hope there is a rule change. They could do under 30 seconds the losing team can opt for a single free throw and the ball or something.
doesn't matter what strategy is employed....if it's executed poorly, it will fail. OKC executed poorly
OKC is the last team that should do this. Supposed best defense in the league, that too with Jokic on the bench... Just play it out. Fraud team, with an idiot coach. Dude completely overthought his way into a loss. Also... SGA has no business winning MVP. He needs to just pass that trophy along to Jokic.
You don't even need a free throw, just the option to skip the free throws and retain possession in the last 30 seconds or last minute. That would end the practice.
No that wouldn't work. If the trailing team was in a situation it was better to skip the free throw what stops the other team from just physically going for steals nonstop? There needs to be some sort of penalty for the foul or teams would foul endlessly.
Correct, that is why the team leading would just foul endlessly to get a steal or run out the clock. That type of rule change would accomplish nothing but have even more delays at the end of games.
