I’m good with at least 3 guys on current roster as part of our future starting 5

    1.
    2. Sharpe
    3. Tou
    4. Deni
    5.

im on fence with Scoot hasn’t proven it yet but still huge upside

    5. Clingan, no offense is big concern but he’s young could improve. Ayton seems to have peaked, all the tools are there just doesn’t bring effort every night and not sure that will ever change

Draft needs another forward preferably shooter. Backup guard who can shoot or distribute?

Deni and Camara are the only ones I'm comfortable with.

Sharpe I'd say eventually would be more likely than not, but I'm not comfortable today. He's not good enough on D and streaky offensively. Scoot is a maybe probably close to 50/50 but might ultimately be best as a backup. Clingan is very unlikely as a primary big minute starter but fine as a tag team center duo.

If we're defining "comfortable" as guys I think will be a starter on a contender no matter who we acquire going forward, I'd say it's only Tou. I think if Shaedon doesn't make improvements, he's a rotation player off the bench on a contender, I think the same thing about Scoot, I think sixth man might be the ideal position for Deni with the right roster around him (thinking an even more versitilte Manu). I don't know if I'll ever feel great about Clingan being our only starting level C, I'd feel much more comfortable with him being a platooning C with a small ball, switchable PF/C so we can dictate the mismatch and not the other way around.

I feel comfortable with 5 of our players as starters going into next season if that's the way things break. I wouldn't be mad if we had guys competing for starting roles that we acquire this offseason but coming off the bench with Scoot, Shaedon, Tou, Deni and Clingan starting.

So for me it depends on what comfortable means but Tou is the only guy that I think could be exactly what he was last time we saw him play (defensive specialist who you can't leave open) who would be a good starter on a contender.

I'm not comfortable with any of them as part of a championship caliber starting unit.

Deni is probably the closest and Tou is probably next.

Broken record , but we really need to be accumulating more high end talent...

I just think that Tou is a high level specialist and that's why I feel "comfortable" whatever that means, with him being a starter... obviously he'd be the 5th scoring option in that starting lineup but his defense is as good as any player in the league and being at 37.5% from three makes him a serious 3&D role player.

I'm comfortable with Scoot/Shae/Tou/Deni/Clingan or Ayton.

I think that team could be pretty good next year.

    Good question.

    Two.
Toumani and Deni. In baseball terms, getting Toumani was an inside the park home run while Deni was a double that may stretch into a triple.

Optimistic about Sharpe. Still positive about Scoot. I want to say absolutely about Clingan but he’s a rookie — Give it a year, and I expect to up the number to at least 3.

Since I’m out on Grant, Ant, and Ayton, and some doubt on the guards — getting toolsy guys with positional size and swinging for talent is the gameplan, IMHO. They don’t have enough talent, yet, so take big swings and get assets to take big swings.

This is what I want to see more of, then make the decision on what needs fixed or changed.

Yeah, we'll see how he does in some important games. Certainly potential to be very valuable if we can put enough talent on the floor with him.

I'm comfortable with all 5. Although I'm not sure if I am comfortable with all 5 together, if that makes sense. I'm comfortable with each individual starter, depending on what else is around them.

We desperately need an offensive superstar to emerge from this group or next draft. I still think Sharpe has the tools to be a superstar, he scores so easily and one of the better shot creators for teammates. Only question mark for him does he have that fire to want to dominate????

Scoot could surprise everyone if given the starting nod next year.

Deni is going to always be a borderline all star, I’m ok with that

Tou is going to continue to improve offensively

We probably need about 2 or 3 more players with Sharpe/Scoot potential to hit on enough of them to find the offensive output and general depth we'll need to eventually become a championship caliber team.

For me Shaedon belongs. He can be a good defender because of his athletic prowess. Not everyone needs to be all defense. Jokic and Curry are not known defensively but won the Finals

They might even make it out of the first round once or twice.

*Edit* I agree, btw, that's the lineup

    I like a lineup of …

    Deni
    Sharpe
    Camara
    Flagg
    Clingan

They have to take their licks, but when you invest lottery picks into them you've got to give them the opportunity to fail and get better. I'm going to be REALLY frustrated if Scoot and or Shae aren't starting next season.
