All these people debating if Jordan or LeBron are the GOAT.

I'm seriously wondering if its Jokic. Of course he needs to prove it a few more years. But I don't know that Jordan was even this good at his peak.

Jordan had Pippen, Rodman, Horace Grant, Phil Jackson. LBJ had Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Davis, Luka, Spoelstra.

Although it was different times, Jordan was DPOY and MVP in the same year, one of only 3 times it's ever happened.

And made all defense 9 times and all NBA 10 times.

Not taking away anything from Joker, but the defenses now-a-days aren't exactly physical.

Yes exactly my point - those five guys have a collective zero allstar games, zero all-nba seasons, zero defensive teams, and no end of season or playoff awards as Nuggets.

I'm not going to include 37 year old veteran minimum backup Westbrook's accolades back when he was in his 20s any more than people talk about Jordan playing with George Gervin and Robert Parish.

Murray probably has the most accolades of any Nugget - getting Nov2016 rookie of the month and making the rookie 2nd team back when the Nuggets were in the lottery.

Even Dame had much more help in Portland.

Whoa is right. They can't afford to lose both home games.

Not sure who wins, but I am guessing Mitchell will get about 30-35 shots tonight.

    Watching this

You know what I think they should do? If you don't play, your stats get a zero for the night. Fuck up their averages. Fuck up their chances at the HOF. Fuck up their All-Star bids.

Dame didn't pull this shit before Giannis. Giannis did exactly what Dame did going into the summer of 2020 and through some feat of magic the Bucks met his demands. This is why I never bought into the idea that Dame sabotaged Joe's efforts to move picks and players to get Dame a running mate when we picked Scoot and Kris to push Dame out. Dame learned it from Giannis, it just so happens that Joe wanted Dame to ask out and the Bucks wanted to win one with Giannis. Not saying it was a bad move by Joe but it was definitely his decision to make the move.

Also, I think Dame only did the Miami only scorched earth thing because Joe made Dame ask out instead of admitting that he wanted to move on from Dame. I don't think naming potentially 5 teams shows that Giannis has that same mindset at all.

Basically what I'm saying is this is a bullshit pot shot at Dame.

    Two changes I would make:

    1. Eliminate the three point line. All shots are worth the same amount.

    2. Hand out zeros to anyone who doesn't play.

What does "hand out zeros" mean?

Instead of Dame averaging 25ppg over 58 games played, he would have averaged 1447 points over 82 games for 17.6 ppg.

Hand out zero points for any games not played over 82.

Hand out zero assists and rebounds and steals.

Unless they can be certified by a third party medical staff saying they cannot play.

NBA Playoffs TV Ratings Up 6%; Warriors-Rockets Sets Game 7 Record
    [IMG]
    Troy Taormina-Imagn Images

The NBA playoffs capitalized on historic viewership from a holiday weekend to deliver strong growth.

The first round of the postseason averaged 3.7 million viewers across ABC, ESPN, and TNT, up 6% from last year’s 3.5 million total, according to Nielsen. The total was driven, in part, by the 4.4 million average of the league’s eight-game opening weekend, which fell on the Easter holiday, the NBA’s most-watched opening weekend in 25 years and up 17% from last year.

ESPN platforms (ABC and ESPN) averaged 4.46 million viewers across 12 games, up 14% from last year. ABC led the way with 5.56 million viewers over six games, a 14% increase. The six games on ESPN were up 10%. These numbers mirror the regular season, when ABC was up 10% despite the full league national TV viewership declining by 2% due to declines in games on cable.

TNT averaged 3.3 million viewers across 25 first-round playoff games, a 3% increase from last year. That number was highlighted by Game 7 between the Warriors and Rockets on Sunday, which drew 6.6 million viewers, the most-watched first-round Game 7 on cable since 2009 (Bulls vs. Celtics).

That was the third-most-watched game of the entire first round, behind two weekend games on ABC: Game 4 of Lakers vs. Timberwolves (7.4 million) and Game 1 of Magic vs. Celtics (6.7 million).

The question now is whether the NBA can continue its momentum into the second round after LeBron James, Luka Dončić, and the Lakers were eliminated. In the regular season, the Lakers played in the most-watched game (vs. the Warriors on Christmas Day), the most-watched non-Christmas game (vs. the Celtics on March 8), and the most-watched non-Christmas, non-opening-night game on cable (vs. the Mavericks on Feb. 25).

The positive for the league is that the Warriors, another ratings draw, advanced to the second round and face the Timberwolves and rising star Anthony Edwards, who was the most-watched player on NBA social media in the first round.
