No they aren’t. When the post applies to the Blazers I’ll let you know by actually saying something about “our team”.

    Correct.
I felt it was worth expanding on your point since this is a thread in a Blazers forum.

A forum in which this debate has been had frequently this season.

Yeah we didn’t want the Blazers in the playoffs this year. We wanted a good chance at a great pick which didn’t really pan out.
There’s always a chance today is a monumental day though? Gotta stay on the bright side right?

Absolutely. If it happens, nobody will be happier about moving up than me.

Not to mention a sleeper pick. There have been many mid to late first round and even second round who became impact players. I will not become suicidal if Blazers don't move up.

Me neither. I fully expect we'll be picking 10 or 11. I've already finished grieving the season's decisions.

Among active players selected #10: CJ, Paul George, Brook Lopez
#11: Shae Gilgeous-Alexander, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, Klay Thompson

Could dig further and find retired.

For sure. And you can find more greats the smaller the draft number is.

We could definitely get lucky and move up. And we could definitely get lucky and draft better than our position. That would be SUPER cool.

Will be really interesting to see what he's like. I think he'll be a little too polished. Chuck will finally have something he's better than MJ at. That being said, I won't miss a lot of chances to hear what the GOAT has to say.

It would be phenomenal and way better than anything Chuck does if MJ becomes the American Idol Simon Cowell of sports analysis. If he's just brutal like his HOF acceptance speach that will be so good, especially if it's offset by some goofier NBA personailities.

Draymond Green is second round pick. So if course were Kersey, Duckworth, Cliffy. Tony Parker.

IMHO the biggest issue is not where Blazers pick but whether person making decisions can recognize the Steve Nash, Horace Grant, Paul Pierce etc.

We need a small iso guard like Brunson. Just give him the green light to create.

This team doesn't often put itself in position to be lucky. If you consistently put yourself in bad situations good things will happen to others more often.

And you'll feel like you never get lucky.

But the reality is that you are just getting what the statistics predicted you would.

I bet Cronin is livid today because I would almost guarantee you that he had trades put together to move some of our vets and designs to tank this one last season until he had one of his bi-weekly meetings with Kolde.

We are in a bad spot right now because I don't even think Joe or Chauncey are necessarily that great but to think they'll be able to get our team into contention with a hand tied behind their back by having to constantly justify what they're doing to a pretend owner like Bert is no inspiring a ton of hope.

We've gotta get lucky and hope some of the guys we have right now take a huge leap forward and that Joe is allowed to build a team around them that makes sense in the long run.
