Joker and Murray are their best two players with Gordon third. Porter? He needs a new environment because he’s been non-effective in these playoffs. Jeremy Grant would fit the Nuggets. Scoot can play point and Murray can play the 2-guard. Timelord provides some depth at Center. Godon is my key target with Porter Jr. a throw-in and/or for use in a 3-way deal.
You didn't give any thought as to why Denver would do the deal. I don't see a compelling argument for them to move off of Gordon. He's a decent value contract and it would be difficult to replace what he gives the team (much less improve) given his contract. I can see 'some' argument for Denver moving off of MPJ. In theory, swapping MPJ for Grant could make sense since Grants contract is $6M less... but Denver would need additional incentive. MPJ is not a move that helps Portland - so they shouldn't give up more value here...
Lmaoooooo wut? Denver would laugh at us. Hang up. Then call us back to laugh again. Then hang up. Then when they see us the first time next year they'd laugh again. This is bar none one of the worst trades ive ever seen. There's nothing good at all.
Yeah I don't specifically like that deal for us but I hate it worse for Denver. I don't think the three players we send out bring back those two players let alone an unconditional pick six drafts after the one coming up, along with those two players. Nah... Denver hangs up laughing and the move doesn't even make sense for our roster. Joe is like "How about Rob Williams, Jerami Grant and Scoot Henderson for Gordon and MPJ?" Whoever the fuck the Nuggest have running the show after firing everyone is like, "No thanks Joe I don't think that really gets us closer to where we're trying to get." Joe says, "Well, why don't you through in your 2031 first rounder with no protections and we'll call it good." Call drops.
ok, I will negotiate with you. Note: I believe Grant will add more to this Nugget team than Porter, Jr. And I don’t want Porter as a starter on the Blazers (could be an interesting 6th man), so allow me to counter: Denver sends Porter, Jr. to Golden State State and a 2nd round pick to Portland; Portland sends Grant and Rupert to Denver; Golden State sends Kuminga to Portland and a conditional 2027 1st round pick to Denver. New environments for Grant in Denver; Kuminga excells in Portland; Porter, Jr. finds a better fit next to Curry in Golden State Draft picks are traded to balance things out. Rupert is thrown in (maybe he goes to GS rather than Denver. Opens a roster spot in Portland for Flagg
If Joe pulls that trade off with just Simons, give the man a raise. For that deal id throw in Grant too.
That is a pretty good deal for both teams. I would not expect a FRP, though. Both players would come off the bench for Portland. Ant next to Amen would be a nice combination. Ant next to Fred....would not.
addition by subtraction.....I dont see, anyway, Houston only wants Simons for, Smith, 1st round, Reed. Now maybe like with Deny, Joe has an agreement for a package for Smith? Why would we need Smith when we have Deny, Kamara, Walker & others in front court?
We need to try and get Adebayo. Miami already said they are looking to change things up. Grant, RW3, 11th pick and one of the Bucks swaps should do it. Then we can still trade Simons to Rockets for Smith and Reed. Clingan, Ayton Adebayo, Smith, Walker Deni, Thybule, Murray Toumani, Shay, Rupert Scoot, Reed That would be the best defensive team in the league, easily.
I'd really like to get Reed Shepard. Maybe his stock is down. We have the defenders to support a player like him, especially if Ant is traded.
Yeah, Sheppard was like the media darling last June, now everyone's forgotten about him. Is he Jimmer 2.0?
Celtics get$10 million luxury tax relief, 2029 super pick (best of BOS/MIL/PDX) and 2028 super swap (Best of MIL/PDX/~SAS), Ant, Rupert, and unloads Browns supermax. Blazers get Jaylen Brown Blazers depth chart; Scoot Banton Brown Sharpe Camara Grant Deni Queen Ayton Clingan Boston looks to trade Jrue/Porzingis too
