Had Portland won lottery, fans of 13 other teams would be screaming it's rigged! Portland had only 1.8% chance. No way it was just luck. Adam Silver is Jewish. Portland traded for an Israeli player, putting him in a city where he would not face intense media scrutiny. Jody Allen has Paul's billions to bribe with. Clearly fix is in. NBA is corrupt.

Yeah, so Utah and Washington are probably eager to make that trade then...

so much wrong with this post. When they "won" it was the later 2/3rds of the season when Deni took the reigns. Ayton and Grant missed much of that stretch. Williams and Thybulle barely played all year. Simons is still young. They "won" at about a 50% clip from Christmas on playing the young guys a ton of minutes... so great right?!? The young core should be better next season, I'm excited to see how much better

Nothing preventing Flagg from withdrawing and going back to Duke for a year. He can try again next year

Grant playing his last 18 games of the season from January through early March the Blazers won 12 games.

The last ten games Ayton played, we won 8 out of 10 games.

For a team in our position, there is no reason for us to have those kinds of players playing meaningful minutes.

Everyone knows POR played their best without Grant and Ayton. We know now what the team has in Tou and Deni. Sharpe showed glimpses and Scoot a few too. That is what the season was and that was a positive. All I am saying is UTA sucked ass and didn’t get Flagg

I don't wish harm to Flagg. Nothing against him. But what if he has a major injury? Or turns out to be a college star who doesn't cut it in NBA, like Christian Laettner or Mike Dunleavy Jr ? Would you all say NBA deliberately sent him to Dallas knowing he would be a bust?

At least 75% of the teams are in purgatory every year. I think this year 15/16 teams of 30 finished above 500. And that usually is the case very year too. And as most years there only 5-6 teams at most that are dominate contenders. The league is strictly built off of playoff hype and for a chance that a mediocre team at best could shock the world. Just about every pro league in sports have expanded playoffs knowing they were missing target fans.

It’s huge. I was looking yesterday and it’s like the 4th biggest market.

If the fake show wanted trade Doncic back to Dallas, would you give up #1?

Nothing except the rules. By declaring for the draft he can’t go back to college. If he goes and plays overseas the Mavs still own his NBA rights

no opinion about Marks, but this season Simons-Ayton-Grant combined for 157 games. And, they combined for 157 starts. That was Billups and he'll be back. Does anybody really believe he's going to bench any of those 3 players if they are still Blazers? One of Avdija/Sharpe will likely be a backup, along with Clingan & Scoot

He scares me. First, the Blazers would have to trade one or two of their glut of centers to make it worth adding a player like Queen. Second, as someone else said, the questions about his intensity are concerning.

I really hate being at 11, just from the standpoint of the value at that spot. I'd have to hear some good stuff about Murray-Boyles' workouts to like picking him at that spot. I don't like Fleming. People seem to have come around to what a lot of us were saying for months that Knueppel is a smart pick, so he's no longer going to be there at 11. Essengue is still likely to be available there, and that's who I'd take if the Blazers couldn't trade down a few spots where they might be able to get both him and Lendeborg (or luck into Demin still being on the board).

EDIT: Left out McNeeley, who I think gives you similar skills to Knueppel as a shooter, which really would help us.

the deadline for withdrawing from the draft is June 15, so theoretically, Flagg could return to Duke

    upload_2025-5-13_9-2-14.png

I have no clue about Flagg's arrangements, if any, with an agent. He has apperaed in a commercial but I don't believe that's disqualifying

He isn’t going back to Duke, Dal might not be his dream destination but at least he will be in the playoffs next year with a healthy Kyrie and AD. I do think it’s fucked they won with a 1.8% chance but didn’t Atlanta do the same last season?

I’m still mostly mad about the one ball away from winning the Wemby draft.

Doubt it. They'll barely miss or barely make the playoffs.
