I’m curious if the Blazers will avoid significant trades (I.e. BIG SWINGS) with the team now being listed for sale.

Maybe they lean towards the status quo until something is finalized.

They weren't going to make any big swings, ffs.

They don't have the assets to make a big swing, let alone a moderate swing.

I think they want to gain flexibility and remove ugly contracts to be more appealing, even if it doesn’t exactly make basketball sense.

I think it's more likely now they try and get off at least one bad contract to make the roster look better for the new owner in a rebuild etc but who knows this is so fluid so more time is needed.

I do think the team will be cautious with trades. I don't think they'll take back big contracts or deals that have a chance to bust. They will be more hesitant to trade away first round picks.

I'm not sure if they are more or less likely to trade Ant/Ayton types. On the one hand I think they would want to get assets such as a pick that are worth something next year vs a player that will be a free agent and work about nothing.

On the other hand they might want to keep those guys here to try and wins with the idea that more wins will help a sales price. I do think they will not give Ant/Ayton extensions though which is great.

I don’t think so. The Blazers will move if sold. That’s what you’re asking, right?

There are a lot more hoops to go through for relocation than there are for change of ownership.

I’d say there’s probably only a 1.8% chance of us being relocated to Las Vegas.

I would say that the smart move is to let Ayton, Ant, RWIII and Thybulle walk after the season unless they are offered a decent player(s) on short deals with picks. Now what are the odds of that happening, 1.8%? They should never have extended Billups/Cronin. They should be starting Scoot, Sharpe, Clingan and whomever they pick at 11, if they do not trade it, should get lots of burn. Of course Toumani and Deni should be in over the rookie. Billups is not the man for this though. Oh well.
