Suppose we keep our pick this year. Who are you (realistically) hoping for?

I hope we trade up or out.

Kon Knueppel is my #1 target if we were to trade up.

I don't disagree, but to me, that's a sign that this is a shitty draft, because he seems like his ceiling is Austin Reeves/Joe Ingles.

I'm pretty sure that our pick will have English as a second language. Probably French as a first, but I'm going to go for a player who's mocked way lower, and that's Hugo González. He's the most unknown quantity, but at the same time he's been in the Real Madrid development system.

Fleming will climb. I want him. If they keep the pick, of course

This makes a lot of sense, which probably means it's way off, as the actual draft never makes sense. Anyway, it's another vote for Essengue.

I prefer who Schmitz wants — cop out, admitted.

IMHO, I’m for Demin and Essengue on big swings.

I’ll be surprised if Jakucionis falls to 11.
Carter Bryant fits the recent profile. Great interview.

Cedric Coward as a high riser up into the lottery. Just learning about him, but he can get on the floor off the ball. How he develops guard and playmaking, handles on O … interesting. 6’5.25” with 7’2.25” wings and solid build and want to. WSU, older, hits 3’s. [some Mikal Bridges?]

I realize there’s a number of sub 6’11 ‘big’ guys, some with wingspans, some one end or the other, can shoot, certain skills, some D … but since I don’t follow college hoops much, I’m now looking at some outliers, too.

My dark horse pick is Maxime Raynaud, France, played at Stanford, super smart, focused, mature, has an edge to him, active, skilled, keeps getting skills. 7’0.25” with 7’1.25” wings so not really T-Rex … just seems like a modern, skilled center … Good movement on the court … good. Pre-draft process will have him rising. Rafael Barlowe sees him as the most skilled center and into the low lottery. Below 20 would surprise him and their recent interview was excellent.

My current crush is Collin Murray-Boyles, but he doesn't sound like he'll fall to us. Is he the next Draymond or the next Tari Eason?

Jak has ball creation. The rest of these guys don't or are pretty limited. Though, I can totally see Coward as a Bridges type. Would love to add Orlando's lower pick to nab another really good prospect.

For no rational reason, I think it'll be Carter-Bryant.

I was talking to my friend a year ago about Hugo
and was sure he’d have a breakout year this season.

Real Madrid buried him on the bench — inconsistent playing time.

He’s not a reach at #11. Though we could probably get him with Orlando’s #16 if the Simons deal happens.

    Lotto talent.

I don't care who it is. Take the BPA. Take the guy with the highest upside.

There's nice depth in this draft. I want to see the Blazers target and acquire two high level prospects.
