Clingan is slower than Edey as well.

I don't like DQ as a prospect, but using Edey as a benchmark doesn't hold a lot of weight

I don't think we should be looking at a guy like Queen to be the Bobby Portis to Clingan's BroLo. I think a guy like Rasheer Fleming makes a lot more sense, at least he does to me. I think he's the perfect small ball 5 for us, stretching the floor on O and extremely switchable 2 through 5 on D. It also seems like, as of right now most people have Queen getting taken higher than Fleming so maybe we could even trade back and get some extra value while also getting the better fit.

I don't want anyone to freak out because I said, fit. I think for our team and what we need Queen makes no sense because we have to have defensive minded guys in this system that we just signed up for 3 more years of. So I have Fleming higher on my draft board and at the same time getting drafted after Queen.

I had talked with a few friends of mine that are NBA scouts who said it was going to be one of the weakest drafts ever and shared that here. Were they wrong?

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't they also say this year was suppose to one of the deepest in years? Do they still believe that?

I'm not saying Queen should be our guy - I'm only interested because several places have him mocked to us and he does some things that nobody else on the roster does - but that said, after about 3 or 4 decades following the combine, the numbers mean pretty much shit. Guys who put up eye-popping numbers fizzle in the NBA, and guys who put up "concerning" numbers do just fine (see Jokic, Nikola and Gobert, Rudy). When you draft a guy because "all the metrics" say he's amazing, you end up with the Bargnanis and Stromile Swifts of this world.

Every player other than Flagg has issues, some bigger than others. “Serviceable” is probably what POR ends up with.

We won't know for years and that doesn't negate the fact that you can find valuable players to add to your team in every draft. You still didn't answer the question.

Still trying to process the “debacle I made of myself comment”. I’m off to work the eastern conference finals for 2 weeks, I’ll think about it.

Just don't come in here and tell us to not discuss our excitement for the draft because so and so tells you it's a bad draft and there won't be any problems. That's all.

Wishing you luck on the EC Finals.

If you think DQ is in a tier above everyone else available draft night, you take him. Of course, that's true for all of the prospects. However, he is very highly regarded by many.

DQ has some good numbers and some highlight moments, but his work ethic (or lack thereof) seems to be a thing and his condition is highly suspect.

I'm hoping we can find better.

Guy has been a winner on both the high school and the college level. An all around baller.

They should not draft him if they don't intend on using him as an offensive hub. That would negate his greatest strength.

DQ needs to be drafted by Toronto so they can play up the DQ Blizzard marketing angle.

If I remember right, Arctic Circle's tag line is 'above the rim'. They could play off that and go 'DQ - slightly below the rim'

    The marketing angles are endless

To make this a little more clear, Flagg is the MM of this draft. No flaws. No issues. Everyone else has issues, with some being bigger than others

He'd be an interesting offense/defense pairing with DC.
