Nuggets also need to hit some of those threes they have been missing. That would loosen up the defense on Jokic in the middle.

Kind of seems like he was too close but no question Gordon got him with an elbow.

Its the sign of the times. We dont live in a journalism world, we live in a reactionary world. No one wants information, they want outrage. Media learned that's what gets eyeballs.

Havent watched any talking heads stuff on anything for probably 15 years.

I for sure thought the NBA would rig this game since OKC is the 47th largest media markets and Denver is 17th.

Well best team won here on this one. Denver with a valiant effort but just too banged up.

usually, in marathons, the team with the deeper bench prevails

Denied him the ball and he didn’t play the 4th.

A perfect example of why the +\- stat is absolute garbage.

In a single game setting, correct.
The stat is valuable when you get a 25+ game sample size

I don't have any supporting data, but I think even 25 games is too small a sample.

i kinda agree, maybe even a full season can be misleading, but a career +/- can be a good gauge. Definitely not game to game

But what in the case of some random bench guy happens to get a ton of minutes out there with Jokic? His plus minus is going to be better than a player who isn’t. That’s no way to judge a players value is it?

a lot of stats will rotation-dependent. A lot won't. And a lot of stats should not be used to compare players who average 30-35 minutes a game to players who average 15-20 minutes

I think it's better to gauge players statistically by a large data-set; and that should be an adjunct to the eyeball test
