George Wendt passed today at 76...Norm and Cliff were two of my favorite TV personalities back in the day..RIP to George and condolences. Jason Sudeikis formerly from SNL or role as Ted Lasso is his nephew.
When I was in high school, I worked at a small grocery store on the south side of Chicago. His mom came in every week/every other week, driving her nice little green mercedes. Always knew she was in the store if I went outside for carts and saw her car out front. She was always super nice. I was a huge fan of cheers, even though I probably missed half the jokes at the time. Was always hoping she'd bring him in. RIP. How's the world treating us today? Like a baby treats a diaper
Norm had a lot of soul. It's too bad that for whatever reason, guys like Wendt don't really exist in Hollywood anymore. RIP
"Norm" was hands down the best character on television (though Cliff was a close second). The best part of Cheers was when Norm would walk in. He always had a great response when they greeted him. My favorite was when he walked in on a winter day. Sam asked him what was up and he replied, "My nipples. It's freezing out there!" My classic go to line on a cold day when someone's asked me "what's up?"..........RIP Norm. God is laughing his ass off right now.
