Well deserved for Tou. We'll see what the off season moves are but if the guys we retain can build from the kind of defense they were playing at the end of the season we should at least be a lot of fun to watch on that end of the court and in transition.

Just thinking about how much fun it is to watch Tou full court press, get all up in the business of the best guy on the opposing team without doing dirty shit like PatBev or Draymond. I'll never be sure that Tou was seen by our front office as being as big of a get as he was but I'm really glad we have him.

Online polls I'm seeing have Jokic leading with fans by about 8 to 1. Some with over 9000 responses...

Impressive - I didn't realize Jokic was considered to be such an elite defender.

Except I remember plenty of folks that were super high on Amen and Dyson those drafts.

Didn’t win enough games. Three more wins and we would’ve gotten the #1 pick.

I’m really happy for Tou. He’s a great success story and I’m glad he’s our dude. I wonder how much management saw this in him or if he was more of a throw in.

I liked Daniels > Sharpe, but I have no issue with the pick as Sharpe’s upside is seriously good, still.
I liked Amen > Scoot, but I have no issue with the pick as Amen has his struggles with shooting more than Scoot and is a SF for now.

Toumani has the size, athleticism, skills, and want-to that gives him every chance to be better than Daniels and others.
Nice that Schmitz (and Cronin) insisted that he was part of the trade with DA. Not a throw in.

Me neither. I like scoot and sharpe. We had really bad defensive teams for years, especially the backcourt. im really happy for Tou. Hope we become a lock down defensive team.

Yeah we definitely didn't target him at the draft or we would've just drafted him. We took Kris Murray and Rupert when Camara was still on the board. He did have a nice summer league.

But yeah I have no idea if the Blazers keyed in and really targeted getting Camara in the Dame deal because of summer league? Or he was just an end of the roster thrown in to the trade the Blazers got super lucky with.

Yeah I've been super happy with Scoot D. Now I don't know he will ever have the height to get all defense votes, but whatever that's fine. If he can be part of a guard rotation with great defense and a team with great defense that will be a welcome change after the decade+ we had of Dame teams with horrific defense.

Portland obviously like Rupert in that draft more than Camara.

But Camara averaged 16 & 7 in summer league so I'm assuming the Blazer front office noticed him. I think the Dame trade would still have gone thru even if the Suns had refused to move Camara. Doesn't mean Blazer brass didn't target him as the required 'young prospect' in the trade
