I'm sure it was their awesome Track and Field program ;-p seriously though, Mario's allure for an OLineman is understandable. Dude only calls 4 plays. Run up the middle, run left, run right & QB drop back and make something happen. STOMP
Rivals national writer Adam Gorney made predictions for their uncommitted 5*s today with Oregon landing QB Ryder Lyons, OT Immanuel Iheanacho & DB Brandon Arrington. I also saw that On3's Steve Wiltfong predicted Iheanacho to the Ducks today. Please let it be so. STOMP
a pretty important question considering Track & Field's legacy at the UofO: Is college T&F dying? https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/20...dy-if-we-dont-act-now-well-never-save-it.html
Ive been to several hs track meets of late and they are pretty boring and long. If you have family involved it makes it bearable. Team to team is better but invitational meets with many schools is tougher. CC invitationals can be a bit crazy too and long.
To be completely honest, I don't really watch or have interest in T&F. Not even during the Olympics. I have always thought it was very cool that Oregon has a great history in it, and that Oregon has dominated at it, but I just personally find it very boring.
this weekend, the Duck Men's T&F team won Oregon's 8th Big-10 championship in their 1st year in the conference. Ohio State is 2nd with 4 team championships and, after losing the regional opener and getting run-ruled by Stanford, the Duck women's softball team won 3 straight games, including 2 against Stanford to advance to the super-regional next weekend. Ducks won with a walk-off homer in bottom of the 7th. Oregon hosts against Liberty (the school, not the concept MAGA hates) this highlight video really captures a moment:
