Sounds good! A lot of times I just use Imgur to host my image and use the image insert to paste the link to the image. Idk about the option to upload images to the site.
Pests are one thing I definitely need to learn to account for. I’ve read that they will pretty much stay away from Mint, but not entirely the same with Basil and some other plants.
Last year was more of a mash but we have a bigger crop and should be able to do some experimentation this year. We'll see. Peach and pineapple habanero have been the standouts in the past though, so we'll always do those two. I'm excited to see how our Carolina Reaper plants grow this year. That's a new one we're trying.
Feeling effect of fall. Aching. Took a hot bath with Epsom salts. Bamboo has spread a bit but mostly vertical. For pests plant garlic. The smell of garlic repels a lot of pests and some say vampires as well. Although what I will do with all the garlic I will be harvesting, probably give a lot away. Swap hot sauce for cookies? Let me know.
We moved to this place a little less than 12 years ago, at some point, I put some succulents in a small rock garden - one of them is doing very well, we call it the alien as it has become an absolute monster in size... - this photo is from 3 or so months ago, it's bigger now...
I think that’s a perfect name. Does look like something you’d find on Mars if it were like earth… If that makes sense.
I like spicy stuff, but these, generally, are over my threshold. I usually do not cooks stuff with anything hotter than serrano peppers.
If they cross pollinate what will we call them? The Phantom Scotch Reaper? Looks wild, I feel sorry for your b-hole…
I use Habbies for my Jamaican jerk chicken marinade, so I’ll probably pick up a habanero start on my next (and probably last) trip.
Bought a habanero start today. I think I’m going to smoke them on the Traeger and try making a smoked habanero hot sauce. I have made a smoked habanero hot sauce with smoked pineapple in the past which was good, pineapple really picks up the smoke; I think I kind of overdid it. Just trial and error whenever I do it. Generally how I like to cook, but it does start out with some kind of recipe.
There's a raccoon in the neighborhood. I saw it run across the street. Three times found large piles of waste in my yard and two bunches of unripe grapes pulled off the vine. Called a service and they set up a trap. The man said call them for any animal trapped. I told him if Lashanna or a neighbor's cat gets trapped I can release them. He said if I see a black cat it might actually be a skunk. I can tell the difference between a skunk and a cat!
