Mine was the same as it is now. I do remember one moniker from back then that may have been the person you were trying to meet at Mt. Tabor. Could it have been Jet or Jetblack or whatever the hell that guy was going by???

That's totally irrelevant to how he posts as a condescending troll. Nobody is discussing what he does as a mod or cares about that.

It's not just some random off days with unusual behavior. It's repeated behavior nearly every day.

Can you please share the "Kardashian" rule as some of us might not have that info.

@SharpesTriumph you could make the results of the voting on the poll public. That might get us through the next couple weeks with more to talk about on here.

you're probably right. There were thousands of newgroups. Lots of file-sharing, porn, mp3, apps. I think most of the discussion groups have died and vanished. It was free back then but the for-pay providers were taking over.

And here I was just getting started.......it never occurred to me that there were limits on stupid.......I stand corrected. At least until the next time Trump (or any Republican for that matter) opens his/her mouth......

I forgot about the pay part, but yep. That's what drove the final nail in the coffin.

yep...the good old days like when I had dial-up internet access from Teleport

    * my first computer had a 60MB hard drive and ate floppy disks
    * my first phone needed it's own parking space and when I picked it up I had to lift with my knees
    * my first car was a 1962 Rambler Classic station wagon. Don't believe I ever coaxed a girl to get in it. Lonely life with over-drive
    * my first beer tasted terrible, but I didn't give up; still haven't 57 years later
    * my first wife became my first ex-wife 10 months later

depends on the definition of classic. If classic means ugly piece of crap that runs and runs for thousands of miles on one oil change, then classic it is!

That is a shame, because as I recall the seats all folded down flat to make a bed? Maybe it wasn't that particular year. Not so rare today, but back then it was a huge advantage for a man with access to a Rambler station wagon.
