That's OK, you didn't sell me on Egor being anything but a role player either. Especially being able to guard 1-4.
But like I said before, we do need depth at PG.

I'd suggest if Smith is the target the Blazers will have to use that 11th pick to get him

the Blazer poster at RealGM who seems to have some connections to what's going on in the Blazer F.O. implied that Portland is targeting Smith; quite possibly by being the facilitator in a 3 team trade for somebody like Giannis or Durant

Counterpoint: pre-injury Martell Webster is exactly who we need.

Portland needs a guy who averaged 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists over his first 3 seasons?

That's not how the Blazers are looking at it. They are looking at a guy who can play 1-4, not ONLY the PG. He might be a role player, but starting with a guy who can create gives him upside to be more. That's obvious. That's why you take him (or Kasparas) over Bryant/Coward imo. That's not to say they will necessarily be better, but they do offer higher ceilings.

Sure why not? Do you know how many games we’d have won scoring eight more points a game?!

Martell could bury open shots but he was a subpar athlete for an NBA wing and couldn't create space to get it off plus had a slow release. Coward has a tight quick release on his J & posted vastly better times and athletic measurements at every station of their respective combines... he's bordering on top shelf elite athletically with that killer J. What in the world gives you major Martell vibes... that he's 6'5 and played hoops in Washington? I'm reminded more of Michael Finley

I received the confirmation yesterday that I probably will be in Brooklyn to cover the draft as a Swiss is about to be hopefully drafted (Niederhäuser). Already told him to come to Portland.

Can we not trade down for him and draft Chris Paul instead? (20 years ago!)

Excluding these prospects from the rumored 1v1 private workout - I’d guess it’s someone projected much higher (Kon) or someone in our range — Carter Bryant would be my guess.

They’ve worked out just about every prospect in our range and only one was 1v1 with no media.

The list of participants are on HoopsHype and the only one not listed that’s in range is Carter Bryant.

I suspect he’s their guy and Demin had been a
    smokescreen.

Of course he can come in next week with media so who knows :breakdance:

Yeah everyone knows about the ESPN/Givony connection. At some point they're going to use that to their advantage.
