    Less than two weeks away!

    Trading into the top-5:

    • Kon Knueppel

    Pick #11:
    • Jase Richardson*

    Hypothetical Orlando #16:
    • Hugo Gonzalez

    Trading for an additional pick:
    • Ben Saraf

*Seeing who the Blazers worked out and the rumored 1v1 workout - I want Jase with the #11 but I feel the pick will be CMB if he’s still on the board.

I don't think Shaedon was the wrong guy, I don't really think Scoot was either... and sure I don't love an old school big that early in the draft but Clingan wasn't a bad pick. Also Kris hasn't showed anything but who has that was drafted after him. I am in no way a fan of our front office but making picks has been a strength of theirs.

So yeah, you're wrong. These guys haven't drafted poorly and that's what your post was saying.

If you're mad about hanging onto guys like Ant and Jerami too long then I'm with you. If you wish we never would have touched Ayton, again that's a good critique. We definitely should have flipped Rob before he ever touched the court here. I don't think it was smart to match the offer sheet for Matisse eiter. So this half assed rebuild has been annoying but not because of the draft picks.

Agreed overall sentiment - Blazers draft selections have been good post Olshey. Id expand that to young additions have been good as Deni/Camara/Banton/etc have all been very good additions.

Blazers issue post Olshey is yes all veteran related:

-Resigning own vets for overpriced deals (Grant Nurk Ant Thybulle)
-Acquiring irrelevant/overpaid vets (Thybulle Ayton Timelord Brogdon Hart Grant)
-Holding onto vets too long (Ant Grant Ayton)
-Not acquiring or trading vets that align with timeline of teams rebuilding roster

Cronin and management have been a two faced GM - one makes great decisions and the other is horrible. Wouldn't shock me if a big part is Kolde micromanaging or such. But we won't know any of that until we have a track record with a new owner.

I might be more excited for a new Blazers owner than any Blazer addition since Pippen.

The thing with all three of those is that they were somewhat unexpected sliders. Not one of them was going to be available (maybe Clingan) at our pick according to any mock draft. So maybe they were under-assessed compared with the players we thought were going to be available. I'd be interested to know.

Agree that not one is a bad pick, and I was very happy for each of them (so a great change from the days of Meyers Fucking Leonard). Funny how the players people are now saying we should've taken over Scoot and Shae (Amen Thompson and Dyson Daniels) - who very well might have been our picks, had those two not unexpectedly dropped - are ferocious defenders with dodgy jump shots. We still wouldn't have our "go-to guy".

It's either "Hypothetical Memphis" - in which case we need to draft Deni's replacement, or we forget about it.

    My #1 preference is Kon.

    After that I want Essengue.

After that I'd be cool with Demin or Kasparas.

After that Bryant and Coward in no order.

Only way I think we trade up is if Ace falls to 7-8 range.

At 11 I think it’s Essengue or Demin

If we get another pick i hope we take Fleming. Honestly I don’t care if we take him at 11.
