As long as Grant or Ant are gone I’ll be satisfied. I think it’s a little unrealistic to expect both gone. I think if we keep Ant CB needs to sack up and play him off the bench.

If Ant doesn’t like it or causes issues tough titties, he can sit at the end of the bench with a pretend injury till we trade him.

I think neither are gone by the start of the season.

I think the Bane trade has further solidified in Joe's mind that Simons and Grant are worth 2 picks.

Joe knows by now if Simons and Grant are worth 2 picks.

I think good teams will give up multiple draft picks to get the player they believe is a difference maker. Because if they are right and their core is fairly young, those picks are not that valuable, nor are they needed as much. If Bane can stay healthy, then he is a pretty good gamble for Orlando. But he is not setting the bar for other trades. It all comes down to need.

We have two options: you're right and Cronin is a moron or you're wrong. I know which one I think is true.

I wonder how Utah feels about the Lauri Markkanen contract. It runs a year longer than Grant and pays him 13 mil more a year(42 per). If they wanted out earlier a Grant/Ant for Lauri/3 mil filler player would work. I’m not high on Markkanen but I’m sure Ainge would want draft capital also. I just don’t think Lauri is a 42 per year player.

I feel the same way about Lauri, I think i'm slightly higher on him than Sabonis as a target though.

    Kinda feels like last year.

We all thought we were poised to make a lot of moves at the draft — and then nothing outside making the selection.

Cronin sold off some 2RP and dipped.

Shuffle the deck around the margins like Olshey.

    Just don’t trade down ffs!

Nothing outside the selection, except adding arguably our best player?

People are so weirdly selective about Cronin's resume.

HALF THE DAMN TEAM WAS ACQUIRED IN TRADE!

That’s some Olshey type of bullshit.

    Quality >>> Quantity

    Easy pass

I'm not opposed to this in theory (as this draft has a shit-ton of players who could be drafted anywhere from 10 to 30) but (a) it depends on the players (duh), but (b) it just doesn't seem like something we're likely to do, given what we did with picks last year.

Yeah, I don't mind the drop from 11 to 15, but just really don't see us brining in 2 more rookies next season

I'd do it if the Bulls would take 24 to satisfy our obligations to them and whoever we really wanted didnt fall to 11.

This is a very good draft.
I would love it if Blazers brought in 2 new rookies (while moving on from Rupert and Banton).
