Combining your comments from a couple of different threads: Are you insinuating that Portland has a trade on the table where #11 goes out for a win-now type move? Is it tied to the KD trade at all (where Blazers would be a facilitator)?
Honestly... This would be VERY disappointing. Smith is a nice player -> but that's all he'll ever be. Watching him at Auburn, I never saw top #5 pick material. His game in the NBA is right on par where I thought it would be. A rotational player, but not an IMPACT player.
How about this scenario? Is this too good for Portland? PHI #3 => #7 + #11 NOP #7 + #24 + Murphy => #3 + Simons POR #11 + Simons => #24 + Murphy 76ers get more assets. Pels get Bailey. Portland gets a great fit. *** EDIT*** I think I actually like CHARLOTTE better. CHA #4 + #34 + Nurk + Smith => #7 + #11 + Simons NOP #7 + #24 + Murphy => #4 + Nurk + Smith POR #11 + Simons => #24 + #34 + Murphy CHA get more picks and a good player to keep fans entertained. Pels likely get Bailey. Portland gets a great fit.
I think too good for Portland. I think Murphy is worth more than 11. 7 and 24, roughly, should be able to get you to 4. Murphy is valued very light there.
1. Simons is traded 2. Portland selects Essengue 3. With the 2nd first rounder, Portland selects Raynaud
As we all know, I know nothing…..BUT….This front office loves KAT……. I assume, of course….Did last year too. I still think Portland uses 11, a future first, and players to get KAT I also haven’t heard anything about Grant and the Lakers, but it wouldn’t surprise me
