Substantion is not a word... but if you were looking for something substantive from Ant look no further.

Yes I have already posted that link in this thread and I'll probably post it again... enjoy.

What I would do and what the Blazers do are two different things

This is Grant and Ayton team - they call the shots and start 100% of the games.

That makes me sick to my stomach but it could be true. I'll wait until training camp to accept it as our new reality.

No way Sharpe doesn’t start this year. They will need the offense and it’s shit or get off the pot time.

    starting lineup
Scoot or Jrue ( honestly would prefer Jrue come off bench run 2nd team)
    Sharpe
    Camara
    Deni
    Ayton

    Bench
    Jrue
    Clingan
    Grant
    Thybulle

that’s a nice rotation and potentially really good if Scoot and Sharpe make big jumps. That said I expect more trades to come so don’t expect this to be our last trade

yeah, it could be possible. IIRC there's about a 7M margin between the tax line and first apron

but if my math is right, accounting for the difference between Jrue's salary and Ant's, and adding the scale for the 11th pick, Portland is still 8-9M below the tax line with 14 players. Now that includes Reath but does not include Walker or Banton. So staying under the tax should be easy....unless there is some major deal in the works using Ayton or Grant

Now, if we could just get Doc Rivers as our coach, it would be a beautiful tribute to Val Kilmer.

Maybe it's time to bring back winner winner Travis Diener as a beautiful tribute for Thanksgiving

We would have the first 30 mil bench player of all time, and we we would have 2 of them.

We cannot conclude anything until trade season closes. I agree it is a bit of a head scratcher given Jrue's age. He is a great player, declining, not cheap, but by all accounts a first rate kinda guy. I am not seeing what teams have the need for him at the moment.

Yes the pacers are a clear choice for sure. MIL simply has nothing to offer. If Joe could get TJ and maybe Walker, Toppin and filler for Jrue it wouldn't be bad. Joe could add in other stuff to even it out but no picks. DET might want to part with the expiring of Harris???

    Would a lineup of
    Jrue
    Matisse
    Toumani
    Deni
    Clingan
be the best defensive lineup in the NBA? Not sure where the scoring comes from, though...
