From unconditional surrender to cease fire to friendly waves.

Good thing Senate has set up committee to investigate Biden's mental health.

I'm still trying to find what I've missed for a reason he was congratulating himself over the pseudo-ceasefire at all. Unless there was a provision that Iran is giving up its nuclear program, it looks to me like it's a worse, more-volatile position than where we were two weeks ago.

-- The B2 bombings don't appear to be nearly as effective as they were originally presented (no surprise there from Captain Bombastic).
-- We lost track of where Iran's enriched uranium was taken.
-- Fordrow was NOT, contrary to the insinuation of some, a secret facility. Everyone knew about it for at least a decade. Inspectors, I believe, were there.
-- It doesn't take a large facility to enrich uranium. Iran now will take it somewhere even more difficult to pinpoint.
-- I heard from MAGA Twitter voices that this was a great example of how the U.S. can keep operations secret, but I distinctly remember reading tweets that B2s were flying over Guam en route to the Middle East. That doesn't sound secret.

Unless I've missed something -- and that's entirely possible -- this just seems like misdirection. Trump's drawing attention to the ceasefire in his left hand to take away the focus from his right, which is holding his pullout from the Iran-nukes deal and the reason Israel and Iran were firing at each other in the first place hasn't been remotely addressed.

I will try to explain how the whole situation should be looked at via NBA terminology.

Israel and Iran are lets say Lakers and Celtics.

    USA is comissioner.

People on the forum here are blazers fans.

The info we have as fans for Blazers and they way we are familiar with team insides is different from a die hard Celtics/Lakers fan.
We also are just fans, not front office, not stake holders... Just casual fans of a specific team which is not at focus.

When you say you maybe missing something - I would argue we can look at it in a similar way - how much did we know about the Luca trade?

It is highly likely you are missing something, cause we are here at the bleachers of teams we are not even fans of..

Im sure the picture with all of its complexity is a lot clearer to Iranians, Israelis, and Americans stationed in FO roles for the matter. The rest - are viewers looking at a checkers games, while the relevant active people are playing chess.
Just like fans can enjoy an NBA game without actually going into coaching strategies, minutes allocations and specific X O s..

Except the commissioner wouldn't bomb the Lakers.

As Sly said, I don't think your analogy is particularly applicable. Even Tulsi Gabbard said our intel wasn't that Iran was close to having nukes. If anything, Trump's escalated this situation. I'm not sure how you can view it any other way unless you are blinding yourself to some very important facts.

Even Trump is sick of the rogue Israeli regime.

Everyone refer to Gabbard as if she is the most important piece of a puzzle.
My 2 cents here: she is just another echo chamber vehicle some want to push forward in the media.
Just like choosing to listen to Tucker Carlson / Pierce Morgan / Douglas Murray etc..
Opinions are fine. Professional analysis are fine. Trump said she is wrong. Who is right? Who knows? Debatable indeed.
But looking at facts: Iran Military top tier level was all removed. Their nuclear sites suffered a big hit (can't say if total or not).
I call it a win. I call it a safer world today. If not for entire world - than for me for sure. I also know people here will disagree with me and that is fine. You guys have to live with whatever keeps you busy and worried (Trump sure is a handful). I have a signifcant worry off my tab today so I am Happy.

Summary of the Campaign Achievements in Numbers:
Interception rates of defense systems, how many ballistic missiles remain in Iran's arsenal, and how many missiles Iran fired?

If a summary can begin to be drawn, these are the achievements of the campaign—for both warring sides:

    Iran's Achievements:
    • About 500–550 ballistic missiles were launched at Israel’s home front.

    • More than 1,000 UAVs (drones) were launched toward Israel.

    • 28 deaths (27 civilians and one IDF soldier) and hundreds of Israeli injuries caused by the Iranian missile strikes on the home front.

    • Dozens of destruction sites in Israel’s rear, with heavy damage to hundreds of homes. Many hundreds of Israelis were left homeless due to direct hits on their houses.

    • Two Israeli Air Force UAVs were downed by Iranian air defense systems.

    • Hits were recorded at strategic Israeli sites, including the Bazan oil facilities in Haifa and the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot.
    Israel's Achievements:
In the diplomatic and strategic domain:
    • The United States joined the campaign, not only defensively but also offensively—assisting in strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, especially the underground site in Fordow.

    • Iran’s regional proxies, built up over decades exactly for such a moment, did not join the fight:
      • Hezbollah did not launch a single missile.

      • Iraqi militias stayed out of the campaign.

      • Even the Houthis—who were launching missiles at Israel almost nightly before the campaign—fired only two ballistic missiles in the past 12 days.
    • Israel’s actions received broad international legitimacy.
    In the nuclear domain:
    • Strikes on Iran’s three central nuclear facilities: Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
      • Initial intelligence assessments suggest significant damage to each facility, although the full extent is still being evaluated, and it's unclear whether enriched uranium stockpiles were hit.
    • Dozens of additional nuclear-related sites were struck, including the nuclear headquarters in Tehran and centrifuge production facilities.

    • 15 senior Iranian nuclear scientists were eliminated, including key figures from the so-called “weaponization group.”
    In the ballistic missile domain:
    • About 65% of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers were destroyed.

    • About 800–1000 ballistic missiles from Iran’s arsenal were destroyed by the Israeli Air Force before being launched.
      • Current estimates suggest Iran now has only 1,000–1,500 missiles left, meaning less than half its original stockpile.
    • Iran’s missile-firing capabilities were significantly reduced:
      • All missile units in western Iran have been rendered inoperative.

      • Missile launches are now limited to central and eastern Iran.
    Targeted assassinations:
    • 4 senior military branch commanders were killed:
      • Commander of the Revolutionary Guards,

      • Commander of the armed forces,

      • Commander of the emergency HQ—and his replacement.
    • The Commander of the Aerospace Force and the entire top command of the Revolutionary Guards' Air Force were eliminated.

    • Two senior Quds Force leaders, Izadi and Shahriari, were killed.

    • Hundreds of Basij and Revolutionary Guard personnel were killed in a series of strikes on their command centers in Tehran.
    In the defense domain:
    • Air defense systems achieved 80–90% successful interception rates.
      • Out of all missiles launched, about 50–60 hit the Israeli home front.

      • 8 missiles caused civilian fatalities and deadly injuries.
    • 99.99% success rate in intercepting Iranian UAVs:
      • Only one drone hit Beit She'an, with no casualties.
    • Vital infrastructure in Israel remained operational:
      • No significant hits on electricity, energy, or water systems.

      • The feared “blackout scenario” did not materialize.
    In air superiority:
    • According to a senior Air Force official, over 80% of Iran’s air defense capabilities were destroyed.

    • Contrary to early Israeli assessments, not a single manned aircraft was downed over Iran, and no pilot required rescue.

    • Over 80 Iranian surface-to-air missile batteries were destroyed.

I forgot to add in my previous post that none of this would be happening if Trump didn't pull out of the Iran nuclear arms agreement from the Obama administration.

It just seems like the guy is trying to cover for his errors. "Hey, I fixed it!" Well, not really, but you were the one that broke it in the first place, either way.
