I'm still trying to find what I've missed for a reason he was congratulating himself over the pseudo-ceasefire at all. Unless there was a provision that Iran is giving up its nuclear program, it looks to me like it's a worse, more-volatile position than where we were two weeks ago.

-- The B2 bombings don't appear to be nearly as effective as they were originally presented (no surprise there from Captain Bombastic).
-- We lost track of where Iran's enriched uranium was taken.
-- Fordrow was NOT, contrary to the insinuation of some, a secret facility. Everyone knew about it for at least a decade. Inspectors, I believe, were there.
-- It doesn't take a large facility to enrich uranium. Iran now will take it somewhere even more difficult to pinpoint.
-- I heard from MAGA Twitter voices that this was a great example of how the U.S. can keep operations secret, but I distinctly remember reading tweets that B2s were flying over Guam en route to the Middle East. That doesn't sound secret.

Unless I've missed something -- and that's entirely possible -- this just seems like misdirection. Trump's drawing attention to the ceasefire in his left hand to take away the focus from his right, which is holding his pullout from the Iran-nukes deal and the reason Israel and Iran were firing at each other in the first place hasn't been remotely addressed.

 

I will try to explain how the whole situation should be looked at via NBA terminology.

The info we have as fans for Blazers and they way we are familiar with team insides is different from a die hard Celtics/Lakers fan.
We also are just fans, not front office, not stake holders... Just casual fans of a specific team which is not at focus.

When you say you maybe missing something - I would argue we can look at it in a similar way - how much did we know about the Luca trade?

It is highly likely you are missing something, cause we are here at the bleachers of teams we are not even fans of..

Im sure the picture with all of its complexity is a lot clearer to Iranians, Israelis, and Americans stationed in FO roles for the matter. The rest - are viewers looking at a checkers games, while the relevant active people are playing chess.
Just like fans can enjoy an NBA game without actually going into coaching strategies, minutes allocations and specific X O s..

 

As Sly said, I don't think your analogy is particularly applicable. Even Tulsi Gabbard said our intel wasn't that Iran was close to having nukes. If anything, Trump's escalated this situation. I'm not sure how you can view it any other way unless you are blinding yourself to some very important facts.

My 2 cents here: she is just another echo chamber vehicle some want to push forward in the media.
Just like choosing to listen to Tucker Carlson / Pierce Morgan / Douglas Murray etc..
Opinions are fine. Professional analysis are fine. Trump said she is wrong. Who is right? Who knows? Debatable indeed.
But looking at facts: Iran Military top tier level was all removed. Their nuclear sites suffered a big hit (can't say if total or not).
I call it a win. I call it a safer world today. If not for entire world - than for me for sure. I also know people here will disagree with me and that is fine. You guys have to live with whatever keeps you busy and worried (Trump sure is a handful). I have a signifcant worry off my tab today so I am Happy.

I forgot to add in my previous post that none of this would be happening if Trump didn't pull out of the Iran nuclear arms agreement from the Obama administration.

It just seems like the guy is trying to cover for his errors. "Hey, I fixed it!" Well, not really, but you were the one that broke it in the first place, either way.
