Their choice not to take Essengue along with acquisition of Holiday seems to show they are thinking short term. I think that is a mistake.

They could be trading it, so it might not matter.

I wonder if they are making decisions based on possible new owners wants.

Okay, riddle me this. We now have the Magic's and our own pick in 2028, along with a swap with Milwaukee. Can we swap the WORST of those picks with the Bucks pick? Or does it have to be a swap with OUR pick?

Also, if we don't have our pick in 2028, can we still use the swap with the ORL pick?

They extracted another 1st round pick because they believe the guy they zeroed in on will be there still 5 picks later.

    Sounds like smart business.

Not nearly as good as what ATL got from NOP: unprotected most fav of 2026 NOP or MIL. Dont know what Dumars is thinking. That could be a lotto pick

Unsure on the timing, but good on POR for extracting value. You know MEM was thinking he’d be there at 16…was this set up on the clock and who called who?

Unless Coward or anyone between now and 16 turns out to be a star, in which case it's real hubris
