I say a C. If we got Schmitz guy then he probably has a good chance of being a rotation player in the league. It was a huge reach and I have a hard time believing we couldn't have traded back again, got another future first and still landed Yang.

Funny for all the complaining people wanted JK, Asa and others and they fell to lower part of draft. I really like his passing skill and from the sounds of it really high BBIQ I’m looking forward to seeing what we’ve got. I’ll eat crow if he doesn’t pan out but I’m on board.

    I'm going F.

It's a massive reach at a position that we don't need on any level. At least if you draft a wing they can potentially play 2 or 3 positions. We JUST DRAFTED a big ass, slow, lumbering center who is supposed to be a really good defender and passer. Like.... what the fuck are we doing here?

I was going to go with an F, but they did get that 2028 1st. Don't know if Memphis added any protection to it. Orlando should be pretty good 3 years from now

of course, you never know. A couple of months ago that Boston 2029 pick was looking like late 20's. Now? More mystery with that pick

    this is what happened:

the blazers had a player they liked but picked in the top 10

before the draft they contacted teams with the 11th to 30th pick, we offered them 11 in exchange for their pick plus x, with x dependent on their slot.

we were hoping we'd get 30 plus way better x but memphis's offer was the best on the table

we would have drafted yang anywhere between 16 and 30

C minus only because the extra draft pick ( which is a shitty pick) prevented it from being an F. But the bigger problem is that I don’t think POR knows how to draft well at all. Nobody they draft is fucking good. Clingan is fine but he is never going to be an all star. Scoot Shaedon Murray are all let downs. Ant was by far the best recent pick and Joe had to give up a pick to unload him for a grandpa. Whoever is calling these draft pick is fucking terrible. Fucking terrible. Not even average but fucking terrible.

I don't know. Did Schmitz really do so well with his Murray and Rupert picks?

Those would have all been A+ grades if they had taken Jaku.

That's irrelevant. We traded back, got a FRP and we would have taken a guy who some people had mocked top 10. Easy A.

Just like letting Ant walk for nothing might have been better than what we actually ended up doing, I feel that drafting Coward at #11 and doing nothing else might have been the best move here.

Even with those extra picks.... which let's face it, Cronin probably will just fuck up anyways if by some horrible turn of events he's still our GM at that point.

I'm asking why you thought KP fell to 21. Not making any additional point, just curious on your opinion.

I'm not worried about the mocks of others. Clearly front offices aren't either.
