I’m starting to become more and more of a Yang glazer as I’m watching him. I was a big Sarr supporter last year, and I’m thinking about it more and more, I’m much happier nabbing another 1st and grabbing Yang than drafting Sarr with a top pick in last year’s draft. I don’t think Sarr is miles better than Yang on defense, I DO think Yang looks much more polished than Sarr on offense.

At the end of the day, we need to remember that Wemby is in our conference. We need more than one guy to guard Wemby. Two guys with similar skillsets just means 12 fouls and possibly not missing a beat on either end when one is in for the other. And if Yang is good enough to play 30mpg as well, we will find a way to make it happen with his skillset. This isn’t a bad problem to have.

Honestly, Grant out for more shooting next, no picks, I’d be okay with it.

I don’t like that. I’d ride with Hansen and Clingan for at least a year to see what we have in both guys.

If he can develop a three point shot like Jokic, fine.

But he has to be able to space the floor. HAS to. I don't really see that happening with Clingan.

Tell me who would have taken that player and when you do give me facts that you know they would have. Not some lame "well I read it somewhere on tweeter".
Top it off with a single person that had this player mocked as a first round pick.

    I'll wait.

I'm mocking all the drafts that didn't have Yang going in the first round.

Well, no one is going to admit it now, but this guy seems to think Brooklyn was with one of their 4 FRPs.

    https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/64...raft-first-round-2025-pelicans-hornets-spurs/

League sources indicated that Brooklyn was interested in selecting Yang, and with the Nets possessing four picks between No. 19 and No. 27, the Blazers would have had to dodge an awful lot of obstacles to get their guy"

I don’t think anyone would be mad about this pick if we would have had 2 1st and picked someone else like KJ or another player the board wanted with the other pick.

Well I have to admit Sam Vecenie might have a point that The Nets did have 4 picks in the late first round and might have taken a flyer on him but what we are again talking about are assumptions and not facts because that is what we are looking for here.
I agree with your point. Nobody will admit to it now and that seems to be because nobody expected it and there is good reason for that.

The last three years sure seems that way. Gotta have something good to follow and the team hasn't really come up with much.
