<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>From the division of the work during practice to the amount of their paychecks, the Titans are preparing Kerry Collins -- not Billy Volek -- to start as early as the season opener against the Jets. Collins was with offensive coordinator Norm Chow until 11 p.m., going over concepts and watching film. Collins was clearly rusty, but made some nice throws as well.-- The Tennessean</div>http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/scor....nfl/index.html(Congradulations to the 1-0 New York Jets..... )

It would be a huge mistake. Let Volek start the first few weeks then trade him before the deadline.

Letting Volek start would be a bigger mistake than handing the reins over to Kerry Collins. Volek has never proven anything in this league other than that he's a solid backup. Collins has had success, and even with his age and short time as a member of the Titans, he's still better than Volek.
