    Why? This makes our Jrue trade even more disappointing. Should have kept Simons or tried to buy him out. Then sign Dame as Scoots mentor even though Dame probably doesn't play next year.

    I imagine Dame wants to lick his wounds for a bit. I doubt he'll sign with anybody until he's rehabbed a bit and then pick and choose. He'll go to a contender, probably next season (that is, 2026-7).

    Just freaking sign him. Make it a 2 year minimum deal with a player option on the 2nd year.

    Cover his medical and rehab. Get him around the team.
