So no matter what the main point of this bill is going to pass, they will just bribe whoever holds out. Effectively billionaires just stole ~4 trillion dollars from the American people and their children. Not sure there’s any other way to look at it.
It sucks. It is awful. There are some good things that happened, like the AI regulations barring states is gone. And public sale of land is gone. Small wins in the general scheme of things.
Get these billionaire puppets out of office and stop voting for them. Everyone that just voted yes on this should be impeached and sent to El Salvador for treason. How is giving all of American assets to billionaires what we asked the fucking government to do? Why is it so damn hard for our money to be used on public interest? Because our government has been stolen by a bunch of crooks.
I think she’s telling them to roll up their sleeves to get started working for the next wave of billionaire entitlement in a few years.
Makes me think of the scene in Alien: Romulus when she goes to check out of her job and they are like “Nope! Actually we added 25 years of work” Any time the 99% tries to make strides to have a good life for everyone, the oligarchy comes and adds 4 trillion dollars in debt, take away social support services and make the rich richer. Life getting easy? Not any more! It’s abundantly clear if you’re not golfing with Trump then you’re the slave class.
Collins. But doing same in Alaska for Murkowski. A few months ago Murkowski said she was done with Trump. Maybe become independent. There were thoughts she might caucus with Democrats. But a Republican is a Republican. One of several who expressed concern. I'm sure their concern will be very comforting to hungry children.
What? Worse that can happen they lose a primary and this bill is so vastly unpopular they might not. Mean tweet? They swore to uphold the Constitution. No exceptions for mean tweets. Even if they lose their seat they will find another gig.
