If we can get Hauser sure I’d kick the tires on Kispert. Not sure if he can play D but he’s a career 38% 3pt shooter.

not seeing the attraction. Looks like he's about equal to Grant as a three point shooter....maybe slightly better; maybe not. He's certainly not elite

but here's the thing....everybody complains about Grant's lack of rebounding:

TRB Rate: career: Grant 7.7%....Kispert 5.9%
    Assist Rate: Grant 9.0%....Kispert 8.1%

more: Wizards were a bad defensive team (27th) and Kispert was 23rd out of 24 players on the team in defensive rating; and 22nd out of 24 in DBPM

No way I'd sign this guy...I don't know much about him but by the photo it looks like he's got a 5' wingspan. (correction) he's 6'6 with a 6'7 wingspan..

I think the 20 mil difference a year in the contract makes Kispert the better choice.

Kispert is a 2/3, Grant is a taller, more athletic 3/4. Kispert is more than twice a cheap and fills the need of a backup 3 that shoots well and plays well off others (something Grant struggled mightily with this season). I don't understand the point of comparison.

OKC had a Caruso, Wiggins, Joe & Wallace that all shot the three well in the playoffs, off the bench. Think Wiggins is the tallest of the three at 6'5.
Kispert is the type of bench player we need, imo.

The implied question was should we sign him? The comparison to Grant and the note that he is 1/3 the price of Grant are irrelevant.

This is not a Grant for Kispert swap, this is about adding someone who has a decent 3 point shooting percentage but as was pointed out, is a worse rebounder and passer (or assist generator) than Grant and also known for poor defense.

I think most were happy to move Ant who was essentially a one-dimensional player. Now we would consider replacing him with another one-dimensional player on contract through 28-29?

    Hard pass.
