what's with you today? Splitting every hair in sight of some of my mild rhetoric? I know you were OK with Ayton, unlike most of us, but the situation is the situation. And that situation is a couple of seasons of low-impact-to-empty stats followed by 26M in dead salary.

if the Blazers had Gafford or Myles Turner or Naz Reid or Jarrett Allen or Jalen Duren or Nic Claxton or Steven Adams or Hartenstein or Nick Richards, instead of Ayton, would they have bought out any of them?

I'm not okay with him. I'm indifferent. He was a salary slot. I think the Blazers eventually saw him the same way.

Exactly; Ayton is just… soft in the way LMA was soft. No real motor to improve, no desire to play the real physical game.

I think LMA did improve. His biggest issue was his awful attitude. Guy was so sensitive and insecure. He COULD play physical but shied away from it. But I think he did vastly improve from when he first game in the league. He was a very complete offensive player who was capable on defense. If he hadn't been such a whiny baby he could have been an amazing partner with Dame.

LMA improved his game every offseason, made multiple All Star teams, and had historical playoff performances (Games 1 & 2 vs Houston in 2014). I thought you were just talking about screens

I’m not on social media but it appears to be an instagram post of a screenshot of a Text conversation DA is having with some Instagram chick.

I quit the forum this very reason. I just could not endure it any longer.

Now obviously "quit" in this instance means dip in a few times a year to read what people are saying about all the exciting Blazer things happening and sort of check the vibe. But I'm always reminded of why I quote unquote left in the first place. Dude is insufferable.

Ayton said all the same things with CP3, Durant, then as a leader in Portland. He'll work hard for a couple games - then settle into his prior ways.

Watching the defense Ayton, Doncic, Reeves, Vincent, Knecht, and a 41 year old LeBron try to scramble and play will be entertaining.

I'm good with it - I greatly prefer new threads spring up and die then we get massive threads with hundreds of posts.

He said all the same shit when he got here. I’m sure he will have a good season and some team will overpay him. And then he will start to mail it in again. The problem is between his ears.

Honestly, I wish we had seen him and Scoot more together because they seemed to have been developing some chemistry. He definitely needs someone skilled at getting him the ball in the right positions and he may just get that this year. Not sure what gets him to become a better defender, though.

Ayton is the definition of all talk no walk. He’s like the new guy at work who busts his ass the first month and by month 2 he’s calling in sick every other Monday and showing up 15 min late every day.

My regret is that Ayton ever wore a Blazer uniform. I think the Blazer front office shares that regret

Every single time I think of the Lakers signing Ayton I get a little Snidely Whiplash chuckle. It might have cost us $25M but that's like walking out of a whorehouse after the best f**k ever wearing a huge grin. Money well spent.......
