No way you can leave Drexler off the list. Roy would be a sixth man and you might be able too add Yong to the list in a couple years.

I think because of Clyde's size that Lillard, Roy, Drexler makes a lot of sense 1-3. Especially if we're just considering guys at the peak of their game while Blazers.

Yeah, but we are picking even if they weren't in their prime as a Blazer

I think if you’re trying to build a team to win a ring in the modern NBA

    Dame
    Drexler
    Pippen
    Sheed
    Walton

Or if you really want to get modern you put Sheed at center and get Kemp.

    Dame
    Drexler
    Pippen
    Kemp
    Sheed

That is an insanely long and athletic team that can stretch the floor and play defense.

I went with Sheed at center instead of Walton because he didn’t need the ball to be at his best. He could shoot the three and he was an excellent defender. You already have Dame and Pippen handling the ball.

I love Sheed and his versatility but I wasn't really thinking about fit, just who the best player at every position would be. I can definitely see what you're saying though.

Dame, Roy, Clyde, Kemp and Sheed would be able to run. Even though Kemp never shot a high volume he shot really efficiently from three in his prime and after he peaked. So that team could run, play 5 out, and be very dominant inside on offense and with the exception of Dame their defensive versatility would be insane.

Yeah if I was picking for fit, I'd go with that same starting five.

Yeah that’s true. The objective was just the All Time starting 5. So purely from that standpoint it’d probably

    Dame
    Drexler
    Pippen
    Kemp
    Walton

If it's prime one season Walton has to be there.

    Pippen
    Drexler
    Sheed
    LMA
    Walton

Roy, Dame, Kiki get left off due to defense.

Lucas, Grant, Buck etc don't make it for outside shooting. Only one player can have the ball - need floor spacing.

Kemp, Sabonis, etc I'm object to considering career accomplishments so removed from their Blazer prime. Otherwise we need to consider Olympic Melo, etc.

Ok not the best in their prime, but a lineup I wouldn’t mind seeing play with another

    Greg Anthony
    Clyde Drexler
    Scottie Pippen
    Buck Williams
    Bill Walton

Contrary to pretty much everyone else, I don't have Dame in my starting five. Great individual player but he played Dame and the dominoes basketball. I want a great team, not just a bunch of great individual players.

    Rod Strickland (or Andre Miller)
    Drexler
    Pippen
Lucas (Buck getting a very close second)
    Walton or pre-Blazer/injury Sabas

    Bench:
    Dame
    Roy
    Buck
    Sabas
Kersey (just loved the constant hustle/movement)

Would love to throw Petrie in there as well.
