If Blazers make the playoffs no pick cap hold. Hopefully we decline Murray option so thats over 11mil saved.

25m seems high for Sharpe cap hold. If it is that high Blazers might even be able to get him on an extension now at that amount or less. Smith in the Rockets took 125/5.

Camara I heard we can have him as a RFA next summer.... Not sure his cap hold in that case.

Sure... yeah, it's clear you get all of the information YOU need to draw a conclusion in 15 seconds. It seems to be a point of pride that should be an area of embarrassment for you. I don't mind the fact that you're a disillusioned fan of the team. The team has done plenty to get any rational person there. The fact remains that because you don't have as much information to draw from as almost every person here does, your takes mean little to nothing.

I also think that if you were being fair to people in here, due to the fact that you love to shit post, you would give up your spot as a mod. I wouldn't block you because I find your nonsense entertaining but people that don't want all of this uninformed negativity shouldn't have to leave the forum to stay away from it. I don't think you should put that decision on Sly or any of your fellow mods either.

That being said, that's just my opinion and like you have the right to your uninformed intentionally negatively slanted takes, the rest of us have the right to whatever takes we make too... it's just that most of us can be blocked if people want to stay away from what we put out.

I'd say the odds of Portland making the playoffs next season are pretty damn small. Blazers have until 10/31 to exercise the option on Murray. Not sure which way they'll go on this. And for each slot opened, there will be a 1.4M roster charge. So, if they delete Murray's 5.3M salary, they will add back a 1.4M roster charge

Sharpe's cap-hold is 300% of his last salary of 8.4M....25.2M

Camara's cap-hold would be 190% of his last salary....about 4M. But if Portland declines the 4th year option, then they would have to submit a QO to maintain right of first refusal. IIRC that's around 135% of his previous salary. The problem with that though is if Camara gets some offer for 25M, for example, BEFORE any deal with Deni, that amount is immediately applied to Portland's cap and would wipe out the cap-space

If the Blazers can get Camara extended this summer, they need to do it and worry about Avdija in 2028
    ***************************************************************************************

I've alluded to it but I'd like a cap-guru to answer this: if the Blazers are trying to use cap-space to re-sign Avdija to an extension, does the entire base salary have to come from cap-space? or would the Blazers get credit for his 11.875M salary? I mean if they are offering him 40M, they need to have a full 40M in cap-space?

Bird rights, no need for cap.space to sign him when he becomes a ufa
