I 100% agree with this. Dame may get hurt in rehab and never play again. That would be a bad deal for Portland and it would be a bad signing. There is risk in every move and non-move. Also agree on the money issue. One could ask why is Booker making Phoenix pay him so much money when their books are a mess. He's already rich, so why does he need more money? These guys almost always want more money. It's up to the teams to decide if they're worth it or not.
Buyout coming and we get a new, err old 3rd string center? Maybe CJ buyout too? He still has the winery here right?
Scoot/Deni/2 1s/2 swaps is probably fair but I wouldn’t do it. If we do we better win it all. Thats a nice reset for Mil, 2 pieces to build around and all their picks back plus the Orlando one to take Grant. I’m just not as high on Giannis as most I think.
I don't see Dame wanting Grant dealt. Deni is a two way role player - that's a must have to contend. Dame isn't playing this year, why trade away the 22 year old? If we ever did explore a Giannis trade it should be to immediately contend. That trade doesn't do it.
I agree with this but I also hope we don’t make roster decisions based on what any player wants ever again.
Ohhh forgot then next summer Ant for the MLE Dame Ant Scoot CJ Jrue Sharpe Camara Thybulle Grant Timelord Deni Nurk Clingan Yang Would basically have the same top6 as when Olshey was here. The posters bitching here would be entertaining.
Depending on how good Hansen and Donovan get, we'd actually have some elite defense to go along with the mighty mice.
Ok one of the only former Blazers in seriousness I'd happily bring back. Let's find Harts wife a nice house on the East Coast (of the Willamette)
This is what happens when you offer a player who is getting paid by another team a minimum deal: You don't get him...
