    How many fans would it take to buy the team?

    Lets say the team sells for $5 billion.

    it would take 50,000,000 fans donating $100

    It would take 5,000,000 fans donating $1000

    It would take 500,000 fans donating $10,000.

    I don't doubt many tried.

    I never tried to buy the Blazers. But in 1999 I wanted to buy tickets to second round playoff series against Jazz. First they said they would sell on line but made last minute decision to switch to in person sales. I live out of state. Called Blazers and explained to lady I can't drive up there on short notice to buy tickets. Nice lady said she would hold tickets for me to purchase when I arrived. Blazers won series. I was happy.
