Just so stupid we'll always have to hear the the Grizzlies selected Yang.

Like why cant the NBA draft just change the format so all pending trades are announced in real time? It's not a freaking court of law. It's a game for entertainment.

Shams/Woj/etc is able to accurately report the correct team way ahead of the pick. Adam Silver should be able to do the same.

We'll find out whether the pick is an "historically catastrophic miscalculation."

    L O Fucking L

He was the 16th pick FFS. Yang could never play a single minute, and it still wouldn't be the historically worst miscalculation of any draft.

This guy's general hyperbole is off the charts.

Exactly. 16th pick. Just take who you feel best about. You're almost certainly wrong, regardless of what you do.

    It literally doesn't matter.

The last two generations give me much to be disappointed in when it comes to human development. But at the top of that list for me, is the over dramatization of everything.
The appreciation of subtlety is dead.

I'm not sure Yang is mobile enough to guard centers effectively, let alone forwards.

If he gets better at that maybe eventually they could try this for a couple minutes against a backup group. But they won't do it at all next season. Billups completely shot down the possibility in our first summer league game.

I'd actually be more concerned that Clingan/Yang even get the 48mpg at center. We might go small for stretches and that means they both sit.

If you're going to play Yang in a two-big lineup, I suggest pairing him with Timelord. Ideally you want ONE big who can move his feet.

Yeah - but I'd call Timelord the PF in those lineups.
