    He’s a practice player and will only play when the game has been decided. Every team has them.

    Yeah what I watched in Vegas was pretty bad but it was bad from a bunch of players all looking to get on a team somewhere at some point.

    He reminds me of a homeless man's buddy held, but a 15th man, 2 way, sure. Ok to have a gunner, see if you can get anything out of it.

    Is he a chucker or what some might call a me first offense player? Most likely the answer will be yes when he finishes growing into his prime, however he has joined a sneaky good point guard development team of Billups, Holiday and Lillard so he could (not saying he will) become a passable table setter.

    I definitely see how he could have a Banton like role if there are lots of injuries. Worth taking the flier though and he will have to battle either Holiday or Henderson daily in practice so sink or swim.

    Bottom of the bench guys are usually practice fodder for our rotation players

    Yes he's a chucker but without Ant Ayton Banton and Dame injured we might need one. I'm not saying we need him now but if Sharpe and Deni are both out for a couple games we might be struggling to have a couple guys on the court at all times that can initiate offense.

    Id be concerned if he was a FRP or such but fans are giving him way too much crap for being on a 2way. He had very nice scoring stretches at summer league.

    I think any contribution the Blazers get from this undrafted rookie should be looked as a positive. Doubt they really have him penciled into the lineup, otherwise he probably would have been drafted.

    you do understand there are legitimate reasons to have major doubts about this guy...right?

    * to start with, he'll turn 24 before the season starts. That's an old rookie
    * in 5 years in the NCAA, Love took 2,426 shots; and shot 38%.
    * He took 1,195 three's and shot 32.6% from the college line
    * he had 586 assists vs 422 turnovers; an anemic 1.39 assist/turnover ratio
    * in SL he shot 35% on FG's and 33% on three's; he averaged 15.6 points on 15.4 shots
    * he had a 1.44 assist/turnover ratio in SL

    in other words, the guy will be 24, a good ways past the point where obvious flaws should have been remedied. He was an inefficient chucker and an inefficient playmaker for 5 years in college, and those traits were front and center in 5 SL games. None of that generates any confidence this particular cat can change his spots

    he's a 2-way so he's a minimal investment. Maybe he can carry a torch into 2 or 3 games and make a difference. A congenital chucker can look pretty good when he's hot

    I'm not going to spend much time trashing his signing, or Wesley's for that matter. After the last month Cronin has gained some 'benefit-of-the-doubt' grace with me.
